Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Vladimir Putin’s invitation for peace talks in Moscow Friday, countering that the Russian president should travel to Kyiv if he wants to meet.

Zelensky responded to Putin’s invitation with his own proposal. “He can come to Kyiv, ” said Zelensky in an interview with ABC News Friday evening. “I can’t go to Moscow when my country’s under missiles, under attack, each day. I can’t go to the capital of this terrorist,” the Ukrainian leader said.

The exchange follows Putin’s Wednesday proposal for Zelensky to visit Moscow for discussions, which the Russian leader framed as a response to President Trump’s efforts to broker peace in the three-year conflict. Putin told reporters he never refused such a meeting, adding, “Let him come to Moscow.”

Zelenskyy characterized Putin’s offer as a stalling tactic meant to “postpone the meeting” while maintaining he remains open to talks in “any kind of format.” He accused the Russian president of “playing games” with the United States, the outlet reported.

“If a person doesn’t want to meet during the war, of course, he can propose something which can’t be acceptable by me or by others,” Zelensky said.

Trump has pushed both leaders toward direct negotiations after meeting with them separately last month. The president recently tempered expectations, suggesting “maybe they have to fight a little longer” before bilateral talks but expressed greater confidence in a three-way meeting including himself.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz shared the skepticism last week, saying it was “clear” that a Putin-Zelensky meeting would not materialize.

Russian officials have signaled that substantive peace negotiations remain distant, with Putin questioning whether a summit would produce “positive outcomes” while continuing military operations against Ukraine.

THE WESTERN MEDIA WILL FORGET THAT MORE THAN 3.5 MILLION "UKRAINIANS" FLED TO RUSSIA, BECAUSE THEY WERE ETHNIC RUSSIANS IN UKRAINE, UNTIL THE USA — EAGER TO DESTROY RUSSIA — STIRRED ETHNIC TENSIONS BY SUPPORTING THE GALICIAN NAZIS IN KIEV.

THE WESTERN MEDIA WILL NOT RECOGNISE THAT IN THE DONBASS, MORE THAN 75 PER CENT OF THE POPULATION IS OF RUSSIAN BACKGROUND, AND IN CRIMEA THIS IS MORE THAN 90 PER CENT. BECAUSE OF THE REGIME CHANGE IN 2014, THESE POPULATION REFUSED TO BE BELITTLED AND VICTIMISED BY THE NAZIS. WW2 IS STILL FRESH IN THESE RUSSIAN FAMILIES' MEMORIES. 

SO WHAT TO DO?

PUTIN IS PROPOSING TO SPLIT THE COUNTRY AS IT WAS. THE DONBASS HAD BEEN ADDED FROM RUSSIA TO "UKRAINE" IN 1922, TO CONTROL THE COMMUNIST ENTITY. CRIMEA WAS "GIFTED" IN 1954 BECAUSE "UKRAINE" WAS A GOOD "COMMUNIST" COUNTRY.

THE PUTIN SOLUTION — WHICH WILL COME TO BE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER — IS TO PREVENT THE VICTIMISATION OF THE RUSSIANS IN THESE REGIONS — WHICH ARE IMPROVING WELL AS PART OF RUSSIA, DESPITE FRONTLINE WAR AND THE ATEMPT BY THE KIEV REGIME TO STILL BOMB THEM AS THEY WERE FROM 2014 TILL 2022...

NO NATO IN UKRAINE IS AN OBVIOUS NIET.

PLEASE WESTERN JOURNALISTS, WAKE UP FROM THE OFFICIAL WESTERN NARRATIVE WHICH IS SLANTED, WRONG AND WILL BE PROVEN USELESS — AND DANGEROUS....

Ukrainian government seat damaged by Russian strike (PHOTOS)
The building near Independence Square has caught fire, Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko has said

 

The seat of the Ukrainian government in Kiev has been struck by a Russian drone, Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said on Sunday. The Russian Defense Ministry has yet to comment.

Ukrainian officials reported strikes in different parts of the capital, adding that the cities of Odessa, Krivoy Rog, Dnepr, and Kremenchug also came under attack. Klitschko wrote on Telegram that “a government building caught fire following the apparent shootdown of a drone.”

Ukrainian news agency UNIAN shared a video of smoke rising from a building near Independence Square.
