delicate surgery with a scalpel and a butcher's surgeries with 1000kg bombs.....

Pampered hernia patient Netanyahu is ultimately responsible for the destruction of more of the planet’s hospitals than anyone since the bombing of Hamburg during the Second World War.

Normally, one would feel at least some, if not in fact quite a lot, of sympathy, for a gentleman of a certain age who has to go to hospital to have a hernia operation.

Shattered wards, ill-timed hernias, and the moral bankruptcy of a nation     By Peter O'Keeffe

A rumbling hernia can be very annoying, sometimes to the point of public irascibility and irrationality in the victim who feels that hot poker protruding where it should not be.

Fortunately, hernia repair is one of the commonest operations performed by surgeons and hence, through sheer practitioner repetition, is one of the safest procedures in large and well equipped hospitals.

Should the fate befall a serving Israeli Prime Minister, he will have the benefit of the world class facilities and surgeons in Jerusalem’s Hadassah Medical Centre.

Benjamin Netanyahu’s stay there resulted in successful repair of his hernia under a general anaesthetic.

No doubt, the operating theatre was 100% sterile, the surgeons and theatre nurses thoroughly scrubbed, masked and gowned, the anaesthesia pitch perfect, the private ward equipped with a comfortable automated bed and clean linen, changed daily, the bathroom and towels thoroughly hygienic, and the food plentiful, regular and nutritious. I don’t know if silk pyjamas were available but there are no reports that Netanyahu left hospital with any bed rash.

Is there not some grotesque irony here, a display of the deepest hypocrisy, a flaunting of a monstrous incongruity, a demonstration of a moral compass without a needle let alone a north?

Irony is often thought of as a figure of speech or a literary device, but here it is a revelation of the moral bankruptcy of a nation, and the self-serving vacuity of a man.

Surely it is unique, industrial scale, irony that pampered hernia patient Netanyahu is ultimately responsible for the destruction of more of the planet’s hospitals than anyone since the bombing of Hamburg during the Second World War.

In Gaza, operating theatres are in ruins, and sterilisation of surgical equipment is all but impossible.

There is no surgical equipment to sterilise. There is even a premium on soap and water.

Hundreds of health workers have been killed or maimed in hospital bomb blasts and shootings.

Child amputations have been conducted with inadequate anaesthesia – sometimes, reportedly, with none.

The oxygen, insulin, puffers, and anti-coagulants needed by thousands with lung diseases, diabetes, asthma and blood clots, have long since become as precious as diamonds.

Opioids for cancer patients or the terminally ill don’t exist.

Supplies of needles, sutures, swabs, and dressings, let alone medications, for those who have been, and still are being, grievously injured in Gaza are miniscule.

Doctors can’t find antibiotics or analgesics any more than people can find food and water for their starving children.

Skin and respiratory infections are rife, especially among children. Ointments and salves don’t exist.

Babies with diarrhoea are wrapped in rags not nappies. Pregnant women give birth on the floors of shattered wards.

Many people still wear the clothes they stood up in on 7 October 2023. Washing machines and detergent are as scarce as petrol.

With more than 100,000 dead or injured, one could safely assume that no hernia operations like Netanyahu’s have been performed in Gaza in the past 6 months, nor will be performed in the next 6, or even in the foreseeable future.

When, in the face of the horrors it has unleashed, will the political leaders in the US, Europe, the UK, Canada, and Australia, acquire the moral conscience and courage to see and to say that Israel in its current incarnation and under its present leadership, is a failed and disreputable nation no less than Iran or Syria, and that pro-active measures must be taken to induce or enforce a cease fire?

Not soon. The international hypocrisy, based so obviously on the white racism that sustained apartheid South Africa for so long, sustains and encourages Israel to go on doing what it’s doing in Gaza.

Those around Joe Biden, whose administration funds and arms Israel to destroy hospitals, must be hoping and praying that he doesn’t succumb to a hernia or worse that requires a spell in Bethesda Naval Hospital outside Washington, the venue of choice for presidential ailments.

There, the facilities for Presidents might even put those for Israeli Prime Ministers in a slight shadow.

But then again, the intergalactic quality of the irony that should generate would just as surely and as quickly pass far over the heads of all concerned.

lavender kills....

The Lavender system reportedly marked as many as 37,000 Palestinians as suspected militants and usually targeted their homes for possible air strikes rather than during the course of military activity.

According to a report published in +972 magazine, the Israeli army has marked tens of thousands of Gazans as suspects for assassination, using artificial intelligence (AI) targeting systems and “little human oversight.” The system being used is called “Lavender” and has “played a central role in the unprecedented bombing of Palestinians, especially during the early stages of the war,” the report notes, underscoring that Israeli officials treated outputs as if they were “human decision.”

Esteban Carrillo, a Beirut-based Ecuadorian journalist and current editor for The Cradle, joined Sputnik’s Fault Lines on Friday to discuss the current events unfolding in the Gaza Strip.

Asked about Lavender, which is designed to mark all “suspected operatives” in Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) as potential threats, Carrillo noted that genocide is a “time-consuming endeavor” and the technology used most likely came from the West. Sputnik’s Jamarl Thomas pointed out the technology is acting as a form of “industrialized killing.”

“It's not just the Lavender, they're also using facial recognition cameras in Gaza to pick out people who they consider to be Hamas," Carrillo said. "Because, if you go by the numbers provided by Tel Aviv, every man, adult male in Gaza who has been killed is a terrorist.”

“If you were killed in Gaza, you are a terrorist. This is what an Israeli reserve officer told Haaretz last week,” he added. “He said that a terrorist is anybody who gets killed in the field. They use these facial recognition cameras, they use AI to arrest, to kidnap Palestinian men, Palestinian women, I'm sure as well, children, to torture them, to keep them in detention.”

BS experts....

The IDF three-day information operation had the same precision, tempo and effectiveness as the initial kinetic attack” of Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom and her 6 World Central Kitchen colleagues, writes Stuart McCarthy, and it channels the ADF propaganda model in Afghanistan.

An old English saying “as ye sow, so shall ye reap” has its origins in the Hebrew Book of Hosea. The King James English Bible version of this tale says that when God found the Israelites worshipping a false idol, “They sow the wind, and they reap the whirlwind.”

The Albanese government is now adrift in the whirlwind of Australia’s abject failure to hold its top generals to account for alleged war crimes in Afghanistan.

Last Monday night’s deadly Israeli Defence Force attack on Australian citizen Zomi Frankcom and her six World Central Kitchen colleagues in Gaza brought the total number of aid worker deaths in that conflict to more than 200.

Having complied with IDF deconfliction procedures and while travelling along a designated humanitarian aid route, the three clearly marked WCK vehicles were struck one after the other by precision guided missiles fired from an IDF drone named after Hermes, messenger of the gods.

Former International Criminal Court trial lawyer Regina Weiss told the ABC:

“What happened there was a war crime. Not only was it an intentional attack on civilians, but we can go further and say this was a war crime of intentionally using starvation as a method of warfare.”

The ensuing IDF three-day information operation achieved the same precision, tempo and effectiveness as the initial kinetic attack. On Tuesday IDF sources told Israeli newspaper Haaretz that the attack was launched because the unit responsible for securing the aid route “had identified an armed man on the truck and suspected that he was a terrorist.”

Senior IDF officers told the same paper later that day the killings occurred because “IDF officers on the ground do what they want.” On Wednesday, IDF Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi released a video statement saying he had “completed a preliminary debrief” on the incident, apologised to the families of the deceased WCK aid workers “from the bottom of our hearts”, and announced an investigation by “an independent body”, its findings to be shared “with full transparency”.

The IDF Joint Chiefs of Staff Fact Finding and Assessment Mechanism (FFAM) report, by an IDF reserve Major General answerable directly to Halevi, was completed on Thursday.

Taking out the trash on Friday, IDF Headquarters completed its war crime staff response drill by briefing international governments and selected journalists on the findings of the FFAM report. Three senior officers were reprimanded, two mid-ranking officers were dismissed from their positions and condolences were again offered to all those concerned.

An “unsatisfied” Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong was left rummaging through the scraps on the Sabbath, to announce she had “signalled our intention to appoint a Special Advisor to the Australian Government” on the completed IDF FFAM investigation.

With 96 hours of blitzkrieg information warfare, the Israelis surpassed a response to Afghan war crimes allegations that took their Australian counterparts almost a decade. What most Australians are yet to appreciate, however, is that the IDF’s key messaging was taken straight from the Australian textbook. As ye sow, so shall ye reap.

under pressure....

Two Israeli Actions Misfired, Pushed Netanyahoo Into Retreat

Several recent incidents have increased the pressure on Israel to end its war on Gaza.

There are serious signs that the Israeli government, under pressure from the U.S., is now moving towards an intermediate ceasefire state that all sides may be able to live with - at least for a while. The decision to do that however has split the Netanyahoo government and may well end the coalition which supports it.

After six month of operations in Gaza the Israeli government has reached none of its announced aims. Neither is Hamas defeated, nor have the hostages been released. There is no viable plan who, if not Hamas, will in future rule the Gaza strip.

Israeli settlers, who have been living near the Gaza strip and the northern border, are still not willing to return to their homes as the government lacks a plan to guarantee their security.

Pressure on the Israeli government comes from several sides.

The war has been extremely costly for Israel's economy. The called up reservists have been missing in their work places. The tourism business is down on its knees. Providing for those hundreds of thousands who have fled from their homes is costly.

Large protest have erupted within Israel demanding the return of the hostages.

International criticism of Israel has risen to unprecedented levels. Several UN resolutions have condemned it for its war crimes in Gaza. The International Court of Justice has ruled against it.

Only the support from the United States had allowed Israel to continue. But two recent incidents have jeopardized it.

The first was Israel's assassination of seven people who had been working for World Central Kitchen, a U.S. based charity with good connections to Congress. Forty members of Congress, including Nancy Pelosi, have since spoken out against further unconditional support for Israel. The U.S. government under Joe Biden had to acknowledge that. It finally threatened to end its support for the Israeli government.

Following U.S. threats Israel immediately increased the provision of food to the starving population in Gaza:

selling weapons....

Israel Seeks to Sell Weapons Used in Gaza Slaughter

by

Israeli weapons markers are selling some weapons platforms that have been utilized during the onslaught in Gaza. Tel Aviv’s arms industry has found buyers among several Asian countries as Washington tries to make allies in the region, preparing for a future war with China.

Last week, several Israeli arms markers hosted delegations from multiple Asian nations at their booth at the Singapore arms expo. Jon Ostrower, editor-in-chief of The Air Current, explained, “They’ve come to demonstrate their power.”

Axon Vision CEO Roy Riftin said in an interview with Asia Nikkei that his company was coordinating with the Israel Defense Forces in Gaza to refine its military AI tech and then export it abroad.

Some of the weapons platforms featured in Singapore have been used in Gaza. Over the past six months, Israel has killed at least 33,000 Palestinians. Most of the dead are women and children. Several international rights experts have warned that Israeli operations amount to genocide.

In coverage of the Singapore arms event, Haaretz notes that some of the drones touted by the Israeli arms dealers were used by Azerbaijan in Nargano-Karabash. Last year, the Azeris completed an ethnic cleansing of the region by forcing the enclave’s last 100,000 residents out of the Republic of Artsakh and into Armenia.

An Israeli official said it was primarily seeking clients who did not buy Chinese arms. “Ultimately all the countries in the region are threatened by the Chinese,” a senior figure in one of the Israeli defense companies on hand told Haaretz. “Here at the airshow they don’t buy fighter jets from China.”

According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, Israel sells the most arms to India and the Philippines. The US has tried to include both New Delhi and Manila in its Asia-Pacific alliances, with the aim at fighting a future war with China. The US has frequently sanctioned other countries over alleged war crimes and human rights abuses while ignoring the rampant abuses committed by Israel in Gaza.

america is a democracy.....

In America, Elon Musk will tell you you have freedom of speech, then ban you for talking about Jews.

Then soldiers will come to your house and point guns in your face because you talked about Jews.

This is called “democracy” and it is a utopia.

The Guardian:

Eighteen students at Pomona College in Claremont, California, were arrested on Friday and charged with misdemeanor trespassing, and one student was arrested for obstruction of justice, according to the Claremont police department, during a protest in response to the removal of pro-Palestinian art on the college campus.

Students criticized the heavy police response to the protest, as police from Claremont, Pomona, Azusa and La Verne responded to the scene in riot gear.

Organizers of the protest, Pomona Divest Apartheid, said demonstrators entered the Alexander Hall on campus in protest of an “apartheid wall” of artwork from students supporting Palestine being removed after being up since 28 March.

Pomona College student Diana Truong told CBS News in response to the police presence after spending a night in jail: “We believed we were doing what was right, in terms of advocating and supporting each other.”

Bitch, have you not heard of the Hall of Cost?

Adolf Hitler put all of the Jews’ shoes in a big pile.

You are pure evil.

The student government at Pomona College voted in February 2024 to divest all school investments from Israeli apartheid, which was opposed by the school’s president Gabrielle Starr. More than 75% of student voters voted in favor of five propositions on divestment at the school, including ceasing all academic support for the state of Israel, and voting for the college to divest from all companies tied to Israel and all weapons manufacturers.

In a letter on Friday in response to the protest, Starr wrote: “Any participants in today’s events on the SCC lawn or in Alexander Hall, who turn out to be Pomona students, are subject to immediate suspension. Students from the other Claremont Colleges will be banned from Pomona’s campus and subject to discipline on their own campuses. All individual participants not part of The Claremont Colleges community are hereby banned from campus immediately.”

America is a democracy.

It doesn’t matter what 75% of people think.

You have to go to jail because of a pile of shoes 80 years ago in Europe.

It’s called “human rights,” and if you don’t shut up, the cops will just kill you.
