Prime Minister Scott Morrison is more concerned with potential threats from outside the nation rather than focusing on domestic problems, writes Hannah Thomas.

THE RECENT FOOTAGE of Prime Minister Scott Morrison lifting his safety visor and staring directly into blinding flames while welding for a photo op encapsulates the reckless idiocy that has defined his prime ministership and made us all less safe.

A memoir by the highest-ranking covert warrior to lift the veil of secrecy and offer a glimpse (?*) into the shadow wars that America has fought since the Vietnam Era.

Enrique Prado found himself in his first firefight at age seven. The son of a middle-class Cuban family caught in the midst of the Castro Revolution, his family fled their war-torn home for the hope of a better life in America. Fifty years later, the Cuban refugee retired from the Central Intelligence Agency as the CIA equivalent of a two-star general. Black Ops is the story of Ric’s legendary career that spanned two eras, the Cold War and the Age of Terrorism. Operating in the shadows, Ric and his fellow CIA officers fought a little-seen and virtually unknown war to keep USA safe from those who would do it harm.

In view of the unrest that US intelligence services have been actively initiating lately, whether in Central Asia, Transcaucasia or other areas bordering Russia and China, the risk of a biological disaster from multiple secret military biological laboratories deployed by the US in potentially politically and socially unstable regions is objectively increasing.

War in Ukraine Forces Israel Into a Delicate Balancing Act

Israel is a strong ally of the United States, and its leaders have a good relationship with Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine’s Jewish president. But Israel also doesn’t want to provoke Russia.

the sins of humanity...

A couple of days ago, I watched a YouTube interview of JOHN J. MEARSHEIMER (JJM) by Tom Switzer of CIS. Switzer is the head honcho at the Centre for Independent Studies (CIS). We’ve already mentioned JJM for his great insight on how China and Russia became world powers “again”... And something clicked in my mind. I don’t know if I am right, but by the end of the interview which explained how China rose to become a strong nation — of course created by the USA... OF COURSE, what would the world be without the USA creating something? — the urgency of containing China’s influence in Asia/South-East Asia was strongly indicated by Switzer and JJM. Keating’s recent rant about our ScoMoSon government making a mistake by antagonising China, was mentioned and Keating’s views were shown to be bad for Australia by JJM and Switzer… blah blah blah...

Long before he became the President of Ukraine, actor-comedian Volodymyr Zelensky created, produced and starred in a political satire show Servant of the People. In the middle of the Ukraine-Russia war, netizens have dug up old videos of Zelensky from the show, that have gone viral on social media.

Servant of the People is about a high school teacher who becomes an “accidental” President of Ukraine after a video of his rants against the government goes viral. Ever since the Ukraine crisis, netizens have been sharing clips from Servant of the People, drawing a parallel to Zelensky’s current situation.

It must be noted that a Russian channel in 2019 had pulled down a scene from the show which reportedly made a joke about Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Goering: "Why, of course, the people don't want war. Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best that he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece. Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in American, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship.”

"An accident waiting to happen”

complexcomplex

We know the expression. "An accident waiting to happen”... We know we are driving fast, we have miscalculated the sharpness of the curve in the road and our car flies off into the ravine. Simple. At a certain point we should have slowed down. When? This is the dilemma of avoiding inevitability. In takeoff and landing of planes, there are windows of procedures well-defined by the characteristic of the machines. Performing manoeuvres outside these windows and we will have an incident/accident/catastrophe.

According to the prevailing wisdom in the West, the Ukraine crisis can be blamed almost entirely on Russian aggression. Russian President Vladimir Putin, the argument goes, annexed Crimea out of a long-standing desire to resuscitate the Soviet empire, and he may eventually go after the rest of Ukraine, as well as other countries in eastern Europe. In this view, the ouster of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych in February 2014 merely provided a pretext for Putin’s decision to order Russian forces to seize part of Ukraine. But this account is wrong: the United States and its European allies share most of the responsibility for the crisis.

Kosovo does not have an official religion. More than nine-tenths of the people, including most Albanians, are Muslim. A significant proportion of Muslims are only nominally so; many do not regularly attend mosque services, although fasting for Ramadan is widely practiced.

PRISTINA: Kosovo has asked the United States to establish a permanent military base in the country and speed up its integration into NATO after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Kosovo’s Defense Minister Armend MeHajj said on Sunday.

Question: How Many innocent people have been killed in Donetsk and Luhansk since the Minsk Agreements?

One? 10? 5,000? 14,000 that’s about 1,800 a year for the last 8 years. Now: DID WE CARE? Nupe? Why not? Our Western media did not report much of this because the dead were RUSSIANS and it did not suit our narrative that supports the “integrity” of Ukraine which officially glorifies NAZIS — which the US do as well. The integrity of Ukraine? See the map of ethnicity… Ukraine signed an agreement and expressly refuse to adhere to it. Of course the bombing of RUSSIANS is a bonus in our Western minds. Any RUSSIAN is bad. We hate RUSSIANS...

As severe flooding and its aftermath continues to devastate Queensland and northern NSW, Defence Minister Peter Dutton has happened on a novel way to help.

On Monday afternoon, there were flood evacuation orders for nearly 15,000 NSW residents, with defence forces dispatched to help bolster an already-stretched emergency response effort.

But it was another initiative entirely that drew criticism of Mr Dutton.

fakefake

We’re only three days into Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, and yet the propaganda cogs are whirring fast as lightning, churning out “news”, opinion and content grist for the media mill.

In just the last 48 hours dozens of stories, images, narratives and videos have circulated as being taken from the fighting in Ukraine, a huge percentage of which are fake.

Now, some of it could be attributed to misunderstandings, mistaken identity, misattribution…but many and most are likely deliberate deceptions designed to provoke a response. Let’s dive right in.
