a simple case of style....

There are good people who believe in the rainbow curve and polarised people who believe in Jesus Christ…. There are people who swear by Buddhism and those who go along with the “spiralization” of spirituality… There are people who pray to Vishnu and some who thinks Allah is great. There are some people who believe in a superior force or being, even if they are not religious... People who believe in the atom and others who thinks eternity is a gift of consciousness.

A SIMPLISTIC DISSERTATION BY GUS LEONISKY

Everyone’s belief is okay as long as we don’t kill each other in order to decree that the others are evil or bad people…

From time to time while searching the internet-sewer for information about reality, I encounter some doozies. Or let’s be polite: some article/posts that only make sense to the singular creator and inspired inspector of the navel gazing introspection.

The self is a strange beast. We cannot be someone else, but an individual born in a strange species that needs to be taught a truth or two…

As our poet Robert Urbanoski once wrote:

I was made by two gametes

That met in a mother’s womb

Born male with bone rickets

Amongst falling shrapnels

I caught German measles

And crawled in pain to my tomb

                            (R.U. 1984)

And we can learn wrong…

With some authority, a dude posted an interview which I think is a fake… I don’t know, but something tells me that with Hegseth posing as a rabid Christian Evangelical Crusadist who fights with force and beliefs, his views on values have been underplayed in the exchange…

As well, the reference to Ukraine is unfortunate in this [Gus-analysed] pseudo-dialogue… Hopefully, we have been clear and correct on the matter of Russia having been provoked into a military operation to protect the ethnic Russians in Ukraine — as well as protect its own borders. This is the similar case of Ireland and the kingdom of England having split along what people are and what they believe their freedom lies. So:

REPORTER: So just to be clear-you think values don't matter in war?

HEGSETH: Look, values are great, but you can't exactly fight off the left with values.

REPORTER: Tell that to the French Resistance, who fought Nazis with nothing but belief before they had weapons. Or to Poland, where underground fighters kept their nation alive despite being occupied by the world's biggest armies.

HEGSETH: I'm just saying, when it comes down to it, strength wins, not ideals.

REPORTER: Then explain how the U.S. lost in Vietnam, why the Soviets collapsed after Afghanistan, or how Afghanistan itself fought off three empires. Firepower alone doesn't mean victory — ask Russia, stuck in Ukraine despite superior weapons.

HEGSETH: Well, military power still matters more than words.

REPORTER: And yet, words-values —are why people choose to fight in the first place. Ukraine didn't stand because of weapons; they stood because they refused to be ruled.

HEGSETH: So you're saying values win wars?

REPORTER: I'm saying values make armies fight harder, longer, and with more purpose-without them, all the firepower in the world means nothing. Just ask the British Empire, the Soviets, or, soon enough, Putin.

At this stage, on could dispute that a journalist/reporter would spell his/her beliefs into the core of an interview. As well, one could also state the valid argument that Putin — and his armies — are fighting with Christian Orthodox and Chechnian Muslim values in their sails — while the values of the Kiev regime are mostly based on fascism and nazism

And let's say the French Resistance got decimated and punished 100 to one, like the innocent people of Gaza...

So, “soon enough, Putin?

Putin plays the Orthodox and other Religious beliefs for the existence and unity of Russia. He has invited a military pause in the Orthodox Easter spirit, which was broken more than 6.900 times by the Kiev regime… but well defended by the Russian troops…

Oh... and we have to mention the Soviets defeated Germany and Japan far more than the West did… If the Soviets bit the dust in 1991, it was a STYLISTIC decision made to do so. Had a hardliner, like Stalin, taken the reins instead of Gorbachev, the world would be a different place.

In Afghanistan? The Soviets were fighting the CIA… "No-one wins against the CIA", not even the White House…

Say, look at Trump now trying to rob the entire world for the glory of his own golden toilet bowl — and for his corrupt family and friends !

And without the support of the West, the Kiev regime would have capitulated — or even agreed to a peace settlement in April 2022 — a peace treaty that was VERY favourable to Ukraine then.

But the West still had a beef with Russia [Capitalism/USA has wanted to destroy Russia since 1917 — the Russian Revolution, you know]. So, the Kiev regime chose to or was pushed to fight on. It’s loosing. On the battlefield and on the faith thingy… Even with NATO’s help…

We can add that without fighting something like Libya, Syria or Russia, NATO was about to be as useful as an old toothpick to clean dinosaur dung.

Talking of NATO:

Formerly secret UK documents show that Britain’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) knew that expanding Nato to admit new members could lead to war with Russia.

UK Defence Intelligence prepared a Nato enlargement study in 1996 that produced scenarios in which war with Russia was envisaged after countries in central and eastern Europe joined Nato.

These declassified government files, available at the National Archives, challenge the notion that Nato’s expansion provides little or no explanation for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

One scenario, drawn up in August 1996, considered the “implications of membership by the Baltic States”, which at the time had not yet joined Nato.

The paper envisaged that Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania had all joined Nato and considered “possible scenarios which would lead to an operation under Article V of the Nato treaty” – under which Nato members pledge to come to each other’s defence if attacked.

The scenario considered a situation where the three states “would face an aggressor”, which was clearly identified as Russia.

Defence Intelligence made the assumption that “Russia has vehemently opposed Nato membership for the Baltic states and has threatened retaliation to preserve her own security against a perceived hostile military alliance on her borders.”

kilometer....

Russian forces only have a few kilometers left before Donbass has been liberated, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

Speaking to Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin on Sunday, Peskov was asked to comment on a recent statement by US Vice President J.D. Vance, who said the Ukraine conflict has fundamentally “stopped making sense,”and that the sides are “haggling at this point over a few square kilometers of territory.”

Peskov confirmed that the territorial issue is now down to “ just a few kilometers, roughly speaking.” He stated that Russia still needs to liberate around “18-17% of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR)” in order to reach the region’s borders.

Once the army reaches the borders of Russia’s new regions, he said, “a complex, painstaking, and not fast negotiation process” will begin, in which the details of a settlement with Ukraine will have to be determined.

Peskov’s remarks came after the Russia Defense Ministry announced on Friday that it has established control over the village of Dibrova in the DPR and the village of Miropolskoye in Sumy Region.

Moscow has called on Kiev to withdraw from all Russian territories peacefully, stressing that it will liberate Donbass – which voted to join Russia in 2022 – one way or the other.

Earlier this month, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky claimed that Moscow issued a two-month deadline for Ukrainian troops to retreat. The Kremlin rejected the claim, stressing that Zelensky should have issued the withdrawal order long ago, which could have “saved the lives of thousands of people and stopped the hot phase of this war.”

Trilateral talks between Russia, Ukraine, and the US have been on hold due to the Iran war, with Peskov describing the pause as “situational.”

Zelensky has rejected any territorial concessions, calling a withdrawal from Donbass a threat to European security.

Moscow insists that a lasting peace must include Ukrainian neutrality, demilitarization, and recognition of the regions that voted to join Russia.
