PESKOV ACCUSES UK Of Enabling Storm Shadow Strike On Russian Territory | US-Iran War

 

Russia has accused the United Kingdom of playing a direct role in a Ukrainian missile strike on its territory, claiming British specialists were involved in launching Storm Shadow cruise missiles used in the attack on the Bryansk region. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said such strikes could not have been carried out without Western support and warned that the use of Western weapons against targets inside Russia risks widening the conflict. Peskov said the incident reinforces Moscow’s justification for its ongoing military campaign in Ukraine, which Russia continues to describe as a “special military operation.” Despite rising tensions, the Kremlin said diplomatic options remain open, adding that the “Istanbul option” for negotiations still exists, though no timeline has been confirmed for the next round of talks.
