the bushit legacy .....
‘Ironically, the last time Iraq was stable was when Saddam was in power. Iraq is unstable because we made it unstable. We destroyed Iraq's infrastructure, its economy and its government. We did. One of the most shameful lies peddled by the Bush administration has been to blame the poor state of Iraq's infrastructure on Saddam. We destroyed that infrastructure with wars, bombings and medieval sanctions. The miracle is that with all we were doing, Saddam managed to produce more electricity and more oil than our occupation has been able to produce. Finally, how is it the U.S. can claim that after four years, there is no trained Iraqi army and police force able to handle security? We send kids into combat with about 16 weeks of training. And why is the U.S. building the largest embassy in the world in a Third World country that is in chaos? What "Herbert Hoover" Bush has done is destroy the credibility of the U.S., sully our reputation almost beyond repair, demonstrate the weakness of our leadership and the vulnerability of our military, and convince many people in the world that we are an evil nation of idiots led by fools. Let's at least hope that he destroys the Republican Party, too. It deserves a zero existence.’

lot 150141399174
Among the bootleg albums, second-hand golf clubs and bargain linens on Internet auction site eBay, lot 150141399174 is perhaps more likely to attract the attention of the Pentagon.
"A Solution to the War in Iraq," is being offered by a US Army intelligence officer fed up with the conflict and anxious to attract some attention to what he says is a viable and face-saving solution to the four-year-old conflict.
"I am offering the winning bidder the solution to the war in Iraq," the seller, identified as "cptnabil," said in the bid.
"This is not a flippant or facetious offer ... If you are the high bidder, I will send you a viable solution to the conflict in which we are currently engaged," the seller wrote.
The New York Post identified the seller as Army Captain Thad Krasnesky, who describes himself on eBay as a US Army military intelligence officer with an extensive background in the Middle East.
"I speak the language and understand the culture, history, and religion, well enough to construct a fair, honourable, and successful plan," he said.
Cptnabil says he served in both the Gulf War and Iraq in military intelligence and had been involved in planning over 400 combat operations ranging from "terrorist cell take-downs to single-handed arms market raids".
The lot comes with a buy-it-now price tag of $US5 million and if not sold, will go to the highest bidder when the auction ends.

When will the good people of the world start to realise that the grand prize in Iraq is Oil, not an end to the war? The conflict is only a sideshow —a deadly sideshow — but relatively peaceful if we compare it to the battlefronts of the first and second world wars. It would be a miracle should the conflict be solved — before the oil grab be made by "privatisation" of Iraqi's resources — because if this was so, Iraq would be in a position to negotiate with proper terms. But no, the insurgency, with the alleged presence of Al Quaeda, in this conflict is doing the US bidding, and the more blood is spilled, the easier it becomes for the US to get the jackpot... A bit more patience tells us the crackpot in the white house... Meaning that "as soon as the Iraqi government signs the oil legislation handing over the oil to the US companies, we're home... and we bunker in Iraq to protect the oil wells..."
5 million bucks for lot 150141399174 on eBay? Crackpot-Bushit might waste his money to give us the illusion he cares... but like a fierce dog that has stuck its teeth in a juicy bone, he's got no intention of giving the soft marrow away.
almost, perhaps, possibly, well … maybe not staying the course …
Britain expects to withdraw 500 of its 5,500 troops from southern Iraq within weeks and will then assess how soon it can remove the remainder of its forces, Defence Secretary Des Browne said on Monday.
"We've got to the point where we presently have 5,500 troops in Iraq and if, as we expect to do, within a matter of weeks manage to hand over the Basra Palace to the security control of the Iraqis, we'll be able to draw down a further 500," Browne told parliament.
