Forget Globull Warming: Instead, Save the Endangered African Wild Dog

Science  » Planet Earth

Regarding my choice for the first part of my titular line, it is what it is: The weather. Nothing more. All else, is buell sheet. Let us leave it at that.

Besides, have not we all had enough of the progressive Wokies and Fake News Media the world over waxing on ad hominem about it already? Climate hysteria has been going on for decades now. Even with their newest iteration, ‘The Green New Deal’ this climate hoax still comes up smelling of  well, sulfur. It really stinks. What is the adage again? Right: Lipstick on a pig… It does not hide the fact that a real pig, still resides behind the shiny lip-gloss.

Climatologist progressives

As of this writing, the dog whistling climatologist progressives are attending their annual gas lighting meeting in Scotland. As usual Sweet Child of Sweden, Great Thunberg is there. No surprise either that the pudgy yute girl, now teenager, is leading the “How dare you!’ vanguard charge. No big surprise either, that the world’s billionaire oligarchs attended. All, without exception arrived in their own private Lear jets; leaving their biggest carbon footprints in their wake. As many of you know, that is the wealth mongers’ signature move.

Gus: This is a bad joke… This is a BAD JOKE — BAD JOKE. Or is it? The author makes some good points, unfortunately. I have no idea who hides behind the moniker MONTRESOR… but it’s a well-chosen name for someone with a nasty streak and not an apparent speck of scientific knowledge. Nothing. Definitely, this fellow (or sheila?) is EUROPEAN. This is not a Yankee, nor a Pom talking...

Montresor's conclusion is fair and deluded at the same time:

Regarding that other ‘climate emergency’, like most guys and gals, I support clean air, clean water, and healthy soil, not contaminated by GMO experimenting. That is the extent of my commitment. Moreover, last time I checked, the earth, for all millennia, undergoes self-cleansing. That is why we are still here.

The last time Montresor checked, the earth, for all millennia, has undergone self-cleansing?… It’s a glib argument that does not hold any real value on the face of recent observations. Er, if the planet was self-cleaning, humans would have vanished from the surface of the earth, wouldn't they?... So… is Montresor indulging in SATIRE? Or is he blind? Or drunk? Or clever...

According to the story "The Cask of Amontillado” (November 1846 — 175 years ago) by American writer Edgar Allan Poe, Montresor is a nasty character who kills a fellow called “Fortunato” (in this case “Unfortunate”) by chaining him to the wall of a small chamber in Montresor’s wine cellar and bricking up the entrance. Fortunato dies and only his bones are found in there fifty years later… The interesting part of the story is that no one really knows why Montresor kills Fortunato. Is there an allegory lurking in the shadows of this “short horror story”…?? Like we’re killing the planet without a hint of knowing why??? Is Montresor a nice guy beside this? Why did Montresor murder his "friend" during Carnivale, while the man is drunk and wearing a jester's motley?

May be the answer is in “Globull Warming”… and "saving the Endangered African Wild Dog"…

With humans breeding like rabbits and a mouse plague at the same time, the African wild dog is one of the world’s most endangered mammals. The largest populations remain in southern Africa and the southern part of East Africa (especially Tanzania and northern Mozambique).

Wild dogs are social and gather in packs of around ten individuals, but some packs number more than 40. They are opportunistic predators that hunt medium-sized ruminants, such as gazelles. In a sprint, African wild dogs can reach speeds of more than 44 miles per hour. (WWF)

So what’s the attractor of this strange species of 1,409 individuals, as basically humanity is doing to the dogs what Montresor did to “Fortunato”… Koalas in Australia are fast getting in the same predicament as the AWD… many species have disappeared, many are near extinction because WE, us, are careless and selfish and drunk on our intelligence.

GLOBAL WARMING IS REAL AND ANTHROPOGENIC.

We have established this fact on this site in many articles supported by real sciences. BURNING FOSSIL FUELS HAS BEEN THE MAJOR CULPRIT — as calculated in 1897(?) by Svante Arrhenius… AT THIS LEVEL, "THE PLANET DOES NOT CLEANSE ITSELF” like it used to do, with photosynthesis (plant life which is 6 times the energy process than all human energy used, per day) and with ocean absorption of CO2 (changing the water pH levels)…

The levels of warming gases in the atmosphere have gone through the roof and the self-cleaning of the planet cannot cope. The EXTRA warming gases won’t go away and we're adding more daily. We need, I mean Montresor needs, to understand that the process (it’s not a theory at this level) of global warming is complex but real, and will change the lives of many people.

For example, there is no warming at night. During the day, the warming adds energy into the weather systems that become more devastating: RECORD floods, draught, storms, rain, hail, COLD, heat, and rising sea level. These RECORDS are NOT ILLUSIONS for many people. And the number of us affected by the changes can only increase, especially in the poor countries — and in New York of all places. Some places will be lucky but many won’t.

1.5 degree Celsius? 420 ppm of CO2? This represent a huge amount of EXTRA ENERGY into the atmospheric system — which, can be calculated precisely enough to let us know that this amount of EXTRA energy has not happened in the last 5 MILLION YEARS… Most likely, by 2050, the temperature will pass 2 degree Celsius which was part of Arrhenius calculations.

So please Pravda, don’t destroy your credibility by placing the Montresor article under “Science — Planet Earth”. There is not a single bit of science in it, and planet earth is too generic: that’s where live so what? Montresor is a treasure in the truth section...

CAN WE DO ANYTHING ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING?

We have also established that “doing something about it” won’t solve the problem that we have created by “burning” fossil fuels, but it will prevent the ”worst case scenario” beyond a certain point of warming.

The best scenario to prevent 1.5 degree Celsius increase on the average planetoid temperature was to stop burning fossil fuels in 1996. So one of the main “doing something about it” is not burning fossil fuels anymore. Thank you…  This demands “renewable” energy supplies that DO NOT USE FOSSIL FUELS. This also demands some smart ways to STORE ENERGY (electricity) to provide base load power during downtime of “renewable” energy sources. There are many promising inventions to STORE electricity, from lithium ions to hot metal batteries* and more, including some graphite/aluminium reversible heat storage that can be used to spin steam turbines.

COP26 — GLASGOW

A joke —  COP OUT… we know… Greta knows it… It’s about the politics of pushing rather than understanding. Yes the billionaires — big and small — and country “leaders”, came in their private jets. Nothing new...

COP26: World leaders fail to honor climate pledge

The UN climate summit has been slammed as a failure after India and China weakened language on phasing out fossil fuels and historical polluters refused to accept liability for damage caused by extreme weather. (https://www.dw.com/en/cop26-world-leaders-fail-to-honor-climate-pledge/a-59812348)

Yes, blame China of course... Australia is so pleased...

CLEAN AIR?

“… clean air, clean water, and healthy soil, not contaminated by GMO experimenting. That is the extent of my commitment…"

YES, Montresor is a full-blown satirist…

Clean air? Try to let people living in New Delhi for the last week… or China’s capital on a bad day…

Clean water? Many nations do not have clean water “on tap”… Even in the USA, clean water can be a problem… With fertilisers and fracking for gas, clean water often becomes a big issue. The earth does not cleanse itself. We pollute. Plastics. Covid-19 masks. General refuse…

No GM crops?… One of the biggest issue at the moment in India is about the traditional farmers being pushed out by big companies to grow Glyphosate — Glyphosate (IUPAC name: N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine) is a broad-spectrum systemic herbicide and crop desiccant. It is an organophosphorus compound, specifically a phosphonate, which acts by inhibiting the plant enzyme 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase — resistant crops.

Around 400,000 farmers in India have committed suicide… A drop in the ocean in a country of 1.3 billion people.  More and more the crops of the world are being “managed” by genetic engineering companies… GMO* isn’t an experimentation anymore. It’s on everyone’s table should we not pay attention. We need to buy “organic” crops (called "bio” in Europe) — or grow our own. Easy...

THE WORLD “ECONOMY”

I am sure that Montresor is a cyclist...

THE “GREEN NEW DEAL” OR THE “GREAT RESET”...

A way for rich people to make more money in a “warming world”...

Lavrov says EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell told him that Russia should leave Africa.

"As Josep Borrell told me, ‘You'd better not work in Africa at all, because Africa is our place.’ That's exactly what he said," Lavrov recalled on Saturday at a press conference on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

The Russian foreign minister pointed out that it would be better to synchronize the actions of both the European Union and the Russian Federation in terms of the fight against terrorism, not only in Mali, but in the Sahara-Sahel region as a whole.

"And to say ‘I'm here first, so you get out of here’ is, firstly, insulting to the Government of Bamako, which invited external partners. Secondly, that's no way to talk to anyone at all," Lavrov told journalists at the UNGA.

Earlier this week, Lavrov and Borrell met on the sidelines of the UNGA in New York to discuss the situation in Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Mali. They also touched upon relations between Russia and the EU and covered the issues of the Iran nuclear deal and the Middle East settlement.
