frankly, my dear, we don't give a damn about your westCONnex...

rejoicements

And you thought there would not be any tollway on your ROUTES... REJOICE! SING! As your cash goes TINGALING ! Another con-way from the BRUTES...

the CON-way on the highway...

"Every day motorists will be rejoicing," Mr Abbott said at the event.

"They will be rejoicing, they will be singing in their cars, frankly, because their cars will be moving," he said.

At the event, Mr Abbott and Mr Baird used shovels to "turn sods" for the motorway, though construction proper is not scheduled to start on the first stage of WestConnex - a widened M4 between Parramatta and Homebush - until May.

The first stage, a $500 million project, will be built by 2017 and involves widening the existing M4 to four lanes in each direction for 7.5km.

The project is being part-funded by both state and federal governments, as well as new tolls for motorists, which is why Mr Abbott said it was important Mr Baird was re-elected.

"An infrastructure prime minister needs an infrastructure premier as his partner," Mr Abbott said.

We all know that the WestCONnex is a gigantic con... It's a very expensive way to displace a few TRAFFIC JAMS CLOSER TO THE CITY and give developers (friends of the Liberals-CONservatives) a "carte blanche" to demolish perfectly good suburbs.

The WestCONnex appears to me as a grand road to corruption galore... and going nowhere... Rejoice!...

Tony is still an idiot. Get rid of Baird and Tony... NewSouthWesh-persons! Show us we can do what Victoria and Queensland had the courage to do! Kick the Liberals (CONservatives) OUT!

no to privatisation of energy assets...

The majority of New South Wales voters are opposed to privatising electricity assets, even if it means raising taxes to cover infrastructure costs, according to data from the ABC's Vote Compass survey.

the good news is that hockey might be driving mike's bus...

mike's bus

Mike's bus had been vandalised... Hockey, the treasurer who is driving the economy of Australia into the ditch, hold a bus driver's licence...

meanwhile, cycling at the x factor

A NSW political party caught trying to pass stock advertising images as photos of its supporters on its website has won the coveted first spot on the ballot paper for the state election.

The positions for the Legislative Council ballot were drawn this afternoon, with the No Land Tax party drew position A, giving it a strong chance of getting a candidate elected.

The party wants a full restructuring of the state's taxation system, including land tax, stamp duty and payroll tax.

But it has been accused of misleading voters by using stock advertising images on its campaign website to represent the views of its supporters.

At the other end of the ballot paper, drawn by the Electoral Commission, in position X, is the Australian Cyclists Party.

Its president and founder Omar Khalifa is not unhappy with the spot.

"It's actually excellent," he said. "If you can be not the first then you might as well be the X-factor and as we are X, everyone will remember X."

A total of 24 groups are contesting the Upper House election.

The A spot is usually known as the Donkey Vote... It's like "first-in gets the tick"... So whatever you do, dear voter, go and tick somewhere else that a) does not make you a donkey, b) that kicks Baird in the proverbials and c) sends a strong message to Tony Turdy that NSW has gone away from the Liberals (CONservatives) everywhere... Toothpaste Micky and Tony Turdy together would be insufferable... Go for the x spot if you're a cyclist... I can smell that The No Land Tax party would be a Liberal (CONservative) affiliated sub-party of course, possibly a good friend of the ghastly IPA... Who knows now... but we'll soon find out at the way this party would try to imbed itself...

And do not forget that new whoever little guy/sheila you vote for might not be the person you think he/she is — or attached to her/his party...

CONsider:

Queensland senator Glenn Lazarus has parted ways with the Palmer United Party (PUP).

A statement on the senator's website said he had a different view of teamwork to PUP leader Clive Palmer.

However he said he was deeply grateful to the mining magnate for the opportunity to be involved in his party.

"I have today resigned from the Palmer United Party. This was a difficult decision," the statement read.

"I have a different view of team work. Given this, I felt it best that I resign from the party and pursue my Senate role as an independent senator.

"I am deeply grateful to Clive Palmer for the opportunity to be involved in the party. I sincerely wish Clive and his family all the very best for the future.

"I am determined to do my best in representing, and being a voice for, the people of Queensland in the Australian Senate."

Ah.... de-mo-cra-cy....

public transport is better...

Roads can't compete

If Mike Baird really wanted to build the transport infrastructure "to cope with the growing population", he would be building mass transit systems, not urban tollways ("Inner west traffic to worsen with WestConnex, October 20). A motorway lane can transport only 2000 people an hour; a single railway line can transport 20,000 people an hour.

If built, his $15.4 billion WestConnex scheme – that's $2000 per adult and child in NSW – would be used by only a tiny proportion of the state's population each day, would fill up with induced traffic soon after it opened, would encourage more urban sprawl and would destroy numerous communities.
