...losing the wars but winning the stupidity contest....

Sooner or later, probably later, NATO plus Australia will be contemplating the consequences of not having won the war in Ukraine.

For a while, the prospects seemed uncommonly good. Ukrainian soldiers were pushing back Russians from Eastern Ukraine land they had occupied, and Russian soldiers were seeming to show no anxiety to fight. But the Russians appear to have regrouped and have renewed a bombing campaign that is stretching Ukraine’s power and industrial capacity, as well as its civilians.

‘russian trolls’ are being accused of sowing division over social media.......

As US voters head to the polls for the much-anticipated Midterms, talk of Russian trolls monkeying with US democracy is back in the news. But does the country really need Russia’s help in “stoking anger” among the electorate?

If the hyper-liberal New York Times can be taken at face value just two days before an epic election, Russia’s underground army of trolls is, once again, attempting to seed the minds of malleable US voters to the Kremlin’s advantage. If those charges sounded outlandish in 2016, when the Democrats accused Russian ‘influencers’ of denying Hillary Clinton the presidency, they seem doubly so today.

TOP SECRET......

Australia’s secretive military pact with the US and UK (AUKUS) is an offensive Anglosphere war megamachine shield from growing human and political upheavals of global warming and expanding inequity in global governance. Climate change constitutes an existential threat to humanity and a peaceful world order.

BY Erik Paul

US’ satellite states are uniting, strategising to secure their borders and economies from both internal and external threats. AUKUS embodies the geopolitics of an armed lifeboat against the rest of the world, expanding their sovereign and private wealth against all others. A garrison mindset is being constructed to protect national homelands from growing waves of climate and war refugees.

STOPPING THE USA.....

Stopping Putin [went] to air on Monday 7th November at 8.30pm. It is replayed on Tuesday 8th November at 11pm and Wednesday 9th November at 10am. It can also be seen on ABC NEWS channel on Saturday at 8.10pm AEDT, ABC iview and at abc.net.au/4corners

HERE WE HAVE A (LONG) LOADED MYOPIC VIEW OF A SORRY SAGA being prominently FEATURED ON THE ABC. IT IS DISINFORMATION (USING SELECTED INFORMATION MINUS THE TRUE INTENTS).

WE COULD NOT DISAGREE THAT “MANY” PEOPLE HAVE SUFFERED FROM THE INTERVENTION BY RUSSIA IN UKRAINE. YET, THIS DOCUMENTARY WHICH SHOWS ONLY ONE NAIVE POLITICAL NARRATIVE IS ACTUALLY DANGEROUS. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN "STOPPING THE USA"....

paths and methods of democracy.......

An article, titled "Chinese Democracy: A True Solution", published in China Daily in December 2021, said China holds "direct election of deputies to the county and township-level people's congresses". The author, Chen Yun, charge d'affaires, Chinese embassy in Indonesia, describes the Chinese government system as an "institutional foundation for protecting the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people".

This shows democracy should be for all the people, not just for the wealthy. And this is perhaps the simplest way of explaining why corruption is so high in the so-called democratic governments in Western countries.

COP27 — getting serious about climate?.....

The world must choose whether to cut emissions or condemn future generations to a climate catastrophe, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned while speaking at the COP27 summit in Egypt on Monday.

“Humanity has a choice: cooperate or perish,” Guterres told delegates gathered to discuss how to combat change amid an ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine and rising global inflation and energy shortages.

Guterres insisted that the world’s richest and poorest counties must form a pact to accelerate the transition from fossil fuels, singling out China and the United States as two countries that have a“particular responsibility to join efforts to make this pact a reality.”

It is either a climate solidarity pact or a collective suicide pact.

sponsors of disinformation blitzkrieg.......

A team of researchers at the University of Adelaide have found that as many as 80 percent of tweets about the 2022 Russia-Ukraine invasion in its early weeks were part of a covert propaganda campaign originating from automated fake “bot” accounts.

An anti-Russia propaganda campaign originating from a “bot army” of phony automated Twitter accounts flooded the internet at the start of the war.

nothing new......

A general that Vladimir Putin recently hailed the ‘Hero of Russia’ has reportedly been removed from his position as Moscow’s invasion faces embarrassing setbacks.

Britain’s Ministry of Defence said General Alexander Lapin had been sacked from the role, the fourth senior commander to have been pushed aside since the war began.

It follows a pattern of senior military officials copping the blame for Mr Putin’s floundering war to “deflect blame from Russian senior leadership at home”.

“If confirmed, this follows a series of dismissals of senior Russian military commanders since the onset of the invasion in February,” the UK intelligence said.

“Lapin has been widely criticised for poor performance on the battlefield in Ukraine.

I have a perverse taste for books and newspaper pieces titled “The Untold Story of Whatever It Is That Hasn’t Been Told.” The cliché on the front cover or in the headline is among my favorites. And then what follows: It has been told before, or it is not worth telling, or—often the case—it is conjured nonsense, a mass of dots that don’t connect, which is why nobody previously thought to tell it.

The Untold Story of Why Leaves Fall in Autumn. The Untold Story of George W. Bush’s Subtle Mind. The Untold Story of Antony Blinken’s Brilliant Diplomacy.  Yes, readers, I’ve read ’em all.

the last thing the US want: people free from the rules-based shitty US order......

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s keynote address at the Valdai Club last Thursday appears to have put Russia on a collision course with the U.S.-led “Rules Based International Order” (RBIO).

The Biden administration two weeks earlier released its 2022 National Security Strategy(NSS), a full-throated defense of the RBIO which all-but declares war on “autocrats” who are “working overtime to undermine democracy.”

the soros tragic/comical mystery and the demise of the US empire....

MANY PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE SOROS…. AND SOME ARE ENAMOURED WITH HIM… WHAT MAKES US TICK ABOUT HIM? WHAT MAKES SOROS TICK?

PEOPLE WHO LOVE HIM THINK HE IS A “LEFTY” ALTRUISTIC PHILANTHROPIST, GIVING MANY BILLIONS TO CHARITABLE CAUSE — ESPECIALLY IN THE AREA OF INFORMATION AND TRUTH. WE CAN’T FAULT THIS GENEROSITY… EXCEPT IT IS NEFARIOUS. IT IS TARGETED. IT IS LOADED. AND NOT THE TRUTH… IT IS DEVOID OF REALITY OTHER THAN THE REALITY AS SOROS SEES IT…

SO WHY MENTION HIM NOW — AGAIN? SOME PEOPLE THINK HE IS "DESTROYING AMERICA"...

always involved in someone else's pissy boer wars....

How do we explain that half the Australian community thinks we should go to war with China? After twenty years of conflict in the Middle East, will our addiction to war and our insouciance about its consequences finally catch up with us in an American war over Taiwan?

‘Paddy the Irishman’ was one of the stock characters who appeared in the cartoons in the Sydney Bulletin in the early C20th. In one of the cartoons Paddy addressed the readers but behind him was a sketch of what appeared to be a brawl. He asked:’ Is this a private fight or can anyone join in’? I was reminded of the cartoon after reading two news items published last week.

ECONOMY ISN'T A SCIENCE. THIS HAS BEEN OUR CLAIM FOR A LONG TIME AND WE STICK BY IT. ECONOMY IS AN ART FORM IN WHICH THE PAINTERS/SCULPTORS/MUSICIANS CARVE FIGURES IN SAND, SING BALANCE SHEETS INTO THE WIND AND PAINT CRAYOLA ILLUSIONS OF BEARS AND BULLS FOR PROFIT. unthinking confucius....

British Minister for Security Tom Tugendhat, a member of the newly formed Rishi Sunak cabinet, recently responded to a question from anti-China MP Iain Duncan Smith regarding the future of China’s Confucius Institutes (CI) in the UK. Smith, the biggest cheerleader of the anti-China agenda in the UK, has a reputation for asking such opportunistic, inflammatory questions in a bid to generate headlines and put items on the agenda.
