Gus Leonisky's bloghousing crisis in the world and in sydney in particular.....Inner West Council welcomes today’s release of the NSW Government’s housing targets and is getting on with a new Local Environmental Plan (LEP) that can deliver these dwellings. The Government’s dwelling target of 7800 new homes in the Inner West over the next five years is achievable and can be delivered through Council’s local planning without the need for State Government rezonings to be imposed. Council has already informed the Planning Minister Paul Scully that this Inner West LEP will be submitted to the Government by the end of the year. Importantly, the Council has set a goal of 1000 new public housing dwellings to be included in the five-year target to ensure more homes for low- and middle-income families are available in the Inner West.
macron est un pauvre con....The West has misinterpreted Russia's openness to dialogue on Ukraine as a sign of weakness and is now pushing the world to the edge of a disastrous all-out nuclear exchange, former US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter told Sputnik. US President Joe Biden has authorized Ukraine to hit targets inside Russia with US-made weapons, bringing the conflict to a new level. White House officials claim that Washington's new policy pertains only to what they call as "acts of self-defense" by the Ukrainian military that is continuing to retreat.

"swiss neutrality" should not allow zelensky's "peace conference" in switzerland.....There is no solid definition of Swiss neutrality in the Swiss Federal Constitution. The neutrality initiative demands the Federal Council to actively pursue its peace function. Our country would thereby regain scope. The 2022 launched neutrality initiative has been achieved. On 11 April the initiative committee submitted 133,000 signatures for the initiative. This sets the course for a referendum on a definition of neutrality in the Swiss constitution. NATO is a fascist organisation designed to destroy russia....
China’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning has agreed to attend next month’s Ukrainian peace conference in Switzerland with one proviso, that Russia be invited. Mao said that Beijing supports the “timely convening of an international peace conference that is recognized by both the Russian and Ukrainian sides.” That sounds reasonable, after all, one would expect that peace negotiations would include the representatives of the warring parties. But that is not the case here. And while more than 90 countries have confirmed that they will attend the upcoming meetings, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has excluded the one nation whose presence might make a difference. Russia.

Charles was given an honorary law degree during a ceremony at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada in 1983. In his acceptance speech, Charles praised those who had “sacrificed their lives 40 years ago” in the fight against Adolf Hitler. Yet the award was conferred on him by a Nazi collaborator – the university’s chancellor Peter Savaryn.

magical magician.....The recent startling advance of Russian forces in northeastern Ukraine has dampened quite a bit of the enthusiasm in the pro-Kiev camp following passage in the US Congress of the supplemental aid bill in April. The febrile intensity with which supporters pleaded for the Ukraine aid, and the exaggerated importance they assigned to it, now seem a distant memory. What is now clearer than ever is that Ukraine’s unravelling war effort cannot be fixed by simply switching the spigot of Western aid back on. So why did the Washington establishment treat the $60 billion figure as some kind of incantation that could ward off the looming crisis?

on the way to perdition or de-salvation.....The ship is sinking, and the Democratic Party seems hellbent on drilling more holes in the hull. At a time when President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign is struggling in key battleground states with a burgeoning Uncommitted movement, the Florida Democratic Party’s leadership is doubling down on alienating its youth and progressive base and ignoring the winds of change.

peace on russian terms.....Kiev's Western backers need to understand that long-range strikes on Russian territory using weaponry they have supplied would represent a conflict escalation that would have “serious consequences,” Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned. Speaking to reporters at the end of a two-day visit to Uzbekistan, Putin addressed recent Ukrainian demands for NATO to permit the use of their weapons to attack deep inside Russia as well as comments by the US-led bloc’s head, Jens Stoltenberg, appearing to endorse the tactic.
the war on drug war.....People use drugs for many reasons: they want to feel good, stop feeling bad, or perform better in school or at work, or they are curious because others are doing it and they want to fit in. The last reason is very common among teens. Drugs excite the parts of the brain that make you feel good. But after you take a drug for a while, the feel-good parts of your brain get used to it. Then you need to take more of the drug to get the same good feeling. The Science of Drug Use: A Resource for the Justice Sector
