the nature of free will...The study of making choices has been a philosophical pursuit for millenniums. It was one of the important subject of Greek philosophy and this subject, in which determinism and free-will do battle, is still prominent today.

It’s 30 December 2014, and two days of tropical downpours have been followed by a full day’s searing heat. We’re at Woodford Folk Festival, north-west of Brisbane, waiting to hear a speaker.
