fratboy .....
‘Just five days after the September 11th attacks in 2001, in a Q and A with reporters on the South Lawn of the White House, a President with a new mission, a new cause, and a new purpose in life told the American people that, though they had to "go back to work tomorrow," they should now know that they were facing a "new kind of evil." He added, "And we understand. And the American people are beginning to understand. This crusade, this war on terrorism is going to take a while." This crusade, this war on terrorism. It had such a ring to it; in the Arab world, of course, it was a ring many centuries old and deeply disturbing. And it came so naturally, so easily off the President's tongue (though it took days of backtracking by his spokesmen and prominent presidential references to "the peaceful teachings of Islam" perverted by "a fringe form of Islamic extremism" to begin to make up for it). But that little "slip" of the tongue spoke volumes. It signaled that George W. Bush was already in his own heroic dream world and, only those few days after the 9/11 attacks, had both a "crusade" on the brain and "victory" in that crusade firmly in mind. As a result, he made this promise to the American people: "It is time for us to win the first war of the 21st century decisively, so that our children and our grandchildren can live peacefully into the 21st century."’

From my Auntie ABC
United States President George W Bush has authorised US troops to capture or kill Iranian agents operating in Iraq.
The United States believes Iran is supplying Iraqi insurgents with bombs and other equipment.
US officials reportedly believe 150 Iranian intelligence officers are active inside Iraq.
Mr Bush has authorised his troops to respond aggressively, giving the go-ahead for American forces to capture or kill any Iranian operatives.
"It makes sense that if somebody is trying to harm our troops or stop us from achieving our goal, or killing innocent citizens, that we will stop them," he said.
The President insists he does not want to expand the conflict by attacking Iranians inside Iran.

Iran condemns Bush's capture or kill order
Iran says United States President George W Bush's order to his military to capture or kill Iranian agents in Iraq is a terrorist act that shows he has lost control of his senses.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has warned the nation's enemies they will take their wishes to overthrow the Government to their graves.
A chorus of international threats and verbal attacks against Iran has reached a crescendo in recent days.
Iranian leaders are responding with climactic ferocity.
The latest clash is over President Bush's order to his military in Iraq to capture or kill Iranians deemed to be a threat.
A top member of the Iranian parliament says this is an act of terrorism, against all international norms and laws.
He says it shows that President Bush has taken leave of his senses.
President Ahmadinejad has also joined in.
