The former vice president said that 10 to 15 percent of Americans “are just not very good people”...

They passed the USA PATRIOT Act – and I did nothing because I am a patriot.
They passed the USA Freedom Act – and I believe in freedom.
They nominated Hillary Clinton – and I voted for the lesser evil.
They declared medical martial law – and I didn’t want to kill grandma.
They said to wear a facemask – and I passively obeyed.
I believe Joe Biden – because I am a liberal.

Medical Martial Law: Liberalism’s Final Capitulation

David William Pear

In 2010 Chris Hedges declared the liberal class as dead as a doornail. He was late. Liberalism had died decades earlier. All that remains now is the separate components of the body of liberalism. The stinking compounds have decomposed into identity politics.

The cause of death for the liberal class, as Chris Hedges tells us, was gullibility. Liberals were foolish enough to believe that they could moderate capitalism. They thought that they could change corporatism by elections, mass movements, whining and begging for incrementally.

The liberal class started their negotiations by compromising all of their ethics, beliefs, and powers. All they got in return were table-scraps to identity politics. The power elite did not give up anything it really cares about. The corporatists raped, pillaged and burned with abandon, while liberals wallowed in political correctness.

Taxes for the rich are the lowest in over 100 years. The military budget is the highest in history. The concentration of wealth and income is in the fewest hands. US wars have killed millions of people, and war profits are booming. Labor unions were neutered. Government is privatized. The economy has been deindustrialized. The police are militarized. The working class has been disenfranchised. The middle-class is being impoverished. The unemployed are idle. The poor are criminalized.

I could go on, but you get the point.

And what has the liberal class gotten in return? Token integration. Ending conscription. Adulthood at 18 years of age. Women in the workforce. Acceptance of LGBTQ. A black president. The MeToo movement. Legalized marijuana. A $1200 bailout. Help me out here—what else have the liberal class gotten in the past half-century, in return for their soul?

Liberals elected Barack Obama in 2008, laughed, cheered, cried, and then they went to sleep for eight years. They thought that Obama would do the heavy lifting for them. Instead he went from bombing three countries to bombing seven, after winning the Nobel Peace Prize for nothing. Obama looked the other way as the Police Occupied Zuccotti Park, Black Lives Didn’t Matter, and Dakota Pipelined.

Obama imprisoned and tortured whistleblowers, and he became the deporter-in-chief. He bailed out the banks, while millions of families lost their homes. Obamacare enriched insurance companies and big-pharma. Gitmo stands as the legacy of Obama’s droning wedding parties and funerals, and for all his broken promises. His answer to climate change was Artic drilling, and fracking the USA.

Obama and the liberal class are the reason we have Trump.

The rich do not care about any of the liberal class’s identity politics and correctness. It costs the rich nothing to make those concessions. The liberals are not willing to fight for anything of importance, and the corporatists know it. The corporatists don’t care if Trump or Biden is the next president.

Bernie or bust! Fugget about it: Bernie Sanders is just a sheepdog, a foil, a professional wrestler, and Kabuki theater. Bernie is the Senator from Lockheed and Israel. He is a carnival huckster, herding the liberal suckers into the big tent.

Please, this is not an ode for voting for Trump either... All rests on WHO Biden is going to choose as Vice-President... Then see who Trump picks... I have my bets...
And does Joe include the rich who fiddle the system to their own advantage in the percentage of "not good people"? Or are these extra, in the other camp? Yes we all know about "rotten apples"...

continuing the cause? biden is not going to help much...

Biden acknowledged, however, that electing him the next US president would not eradicate systemic racism in the country, observing that Americans must continue their cause to rid the nation of racism and race hate.

“Hate didn’t begin with Donald Trump, it’s not going to end with him,” Biden said. “The history of our country is not a fairy tale, it doesn’t guarantee a happy ending, but as I said earlier, we’re in a battle for the soul of this nation. It’s been a constant push and pull for the last 200 years”.

The presumptive Democratic nominee said that he misjudged the progress the nation has made on race, as he formerly thought that racism had dropped sharply in the US after the election of its first African-American president, Barack Obama, in 2008.

“I thought we had made enormous progress when we elected an African-American president, I thought things had really changed,” Biden said. “I thought you could defeat hate, you could kill hate. But the point is, you can’t. Hate only hides, and if you breathe any oxygen into that hate, it comes alive again”.

Speaking about ongoing protests triggered by the murder of an African-American resident of Minneapolis named George Floyd by white police officers on 25 May, Biden warned against allowing peaceful demonstrations to become violent.

“We can’t allow the protesting to overshadow the purpose of the protest,” Biden said. “So there’s going to be a lot of folks that are going to want to cause trouble. Some cops, but some folks too. It’s going to take young leaders like you to change things in the city”.

Strangely enough, having the Trump as POTUS has been a catalyst... or like a doctor pricking the boil, whether this doctor is Frankenstein incarnated... The next step is for the Trump administration to start doing some PROPER discussion with the black people, and avoid the flipancy of the Trump himself. Find a way to get everyone (most of the people) to agree to an effective agenda in racism/discrimination/victimisation, etc reduction... I don't know why but I feel that Trump — in an instant flip — could do it far more successfully than Sleepy Joe... Weird. The Dork might surprise us...

'Years later, we're still dealing with the same thing'

As widespread protests continue to sweep across the United States, people describe what they hope will make them more significant.

George Floyd, 46, was killed in police custody on May 25 and since then protesters have been marching to demand an end to police brutality and better race relations.

A memorial for Mr Floyd was held in Minneapolis on Thursday and in his eulogy, Reverend Al Sharpton said this had been "the story of black folks".

People in glasshouses should shut up...

bin biden...

Last week, Donald Trump responded to presumptive Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden's recent claims about POTUS trying to "steal" the November election by insisting that the former US vice president is unwell.

In an interview with his eldest son broadcast on YouTube Thursday, President Donald Trump, in particular, commented on secretive documents seized from Osama bin Laden's Pakistan compound when he was killed in May 2011.

According to the documents first reported by The Washington Post in 2012, bin Laden planned to assassinate then-President Barack Obama so that the "totally unprepared" Joe Biden would take over as president and plunge the United States "into a crisis”.

When asked about the matter during Donald Trump Jr.'s podcast "Triggered”, POTUS said that “we’re going to immediately make a great commercial out of that if that’s true”.

The remarks come a week after Trump responded to Biden's recent claims about POTUS trying to "steal" the November election, insisting that the former US vice president and current presumptive Democratic presidential candidate is unwell.

“Look, Joe's not all there. Everybody knows. And it's sad when you look at it and you see it, you see it for yourself. He's created his own sanctuary city in the basement or wherever he is and he doesn't come out. And certainly if I don't win, I don't win”, Trump told Fox News.

This followed Biden claiming that his biggest concern was voter fraud on the part of Trump in the upcoming election, and that the military "will escort him from the White House with great dispatch".

"My single greatest concern [is that] this president is going to try to steal this election. This is a guy who said that all mail-in ballots are fraudulent ... while he sits behind the desk in the Oval Office and writes his mail-in ballot to vote in a primary”, Biden said in an interview with Comedy Central's "The Daily Show".

The comments came as a ten-second clip of Biden seemingly losing his train of thought was posted online, with the former VP heard saying, "You know the rapidly rising umm uh in with uh with I don't know".

not russia's favourite...

The US Intelligence Community (IC) issued a report that says Russia is not a fan of Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden and the anti-Russia ‘establishment.’ If true, what is so unbelievable about the Kremlin’s stance?

The statement released on Friday says, in part, that Russia is employing “a range of measures to … denigrate former Vice President Biden and what it sees as an anti-Russia ‘establishment.’” It went on to say that this approach is consistent with Moscow's criticism of Joe Biden when he was Barack Obama’s vice president “for his role in … policies on Ukraine and its support for the anti-Putin opposition inside Russia.” Perhaps the best response to such an accusation would be to ask: Does the Democratic Party really need the Kremlin’s help in denigrating their top nominee for the presidential ticket when Joe Biden has been more than capable of denigrating himself? In fact, the day before the IC statement was released it was difficult to deny that the 77-year-old candidate’s use-by shelf date may have already expired.
