fast and furious...Former defence minister David Johnston is being tipped to fill the role of Australia's consul-general to Hong Kong and Macau. He is the latest in a growing line of Coalition ministers and members to leave Parliament ahead of the election, several of whom have government appointments to ease them into retirement. Senator Johnston was the only ministerial casualty of the Abbott Government, who stumbled by saying "I wouldn't trust [the Australian Submarine Corporation] to build a canoe" and fell when Tony Abbott reshuffled his Cabinet in December 2014. His departure has opened up a Senate spot in Western Australia. Senator Johnston will join Joe Hockey in the diplomatic ranks.

Meanwhile in dry swamp land...
Barnaby Joyce is going to become deputy leader of this country... The idiots are winning...
loosing ballast, dead weights and credibility...
Malcolm Turnbull's government has been rocked by the loss of a third minister in as many months, an imminent reshuffle caused by that crisis, and a slew of resignations. But the emergency deck-clearing, coupled with a still strong lead in the polls and a possible breakthrough on Senate voting reform may yet clear the way for an early double-dissolution election.
While Labor remains hostile and a deal with the Greens and independent senator Nick Xenophon is not yet sealed, government hopes are high that a change to scrap block voting, which would spell the end to a plethora of micro-parties, is close.
That would mean an early double-dissolution election could be held - most likely over union corruption - without the risk of an even more unmanageable Senate than is in place now.

brough resigns...
Out of the new Turdball ministry's "dynamic" youthful green-horns, the only thing that sticks is that Brough is gone.. The rest we will have to see in action to become opinionated, unless Turdball calls a snap election to capitalise on his winning smiling conman snake oil salesmanship. The worse news is that Pyne is still the "science"minister despite not understanding anything scientific — including not understanding the sacrosanctity of the CSIRO — apart that shit floats. The equal worse selection is Scott Mo, still as the lentil counter in the treasurer's pot of rehashed blulags...
