pyne's gall...Cabinet minister Craig Emerson said Prime Minister Julia Gillard was proving resilient. "The prime minister's had the kitchen sink, the bathroom vanity and the carport thrown at her and she's still standing," he told reporters. "(But) we don't govern for opinion polls. We govern for Australia." Labor MP Nick Champion said Mr Abbott had a "glass jaw" when the focus was turned on him. "We've been just standing up to him and I think that's resonated with the Australian people," he told Sky News. The poll results were due to Mr Abbott's negative strategy, not Labor attacks on the opposition leader. "You can't rely on a strategy on having the opposition just say no and (have) no ideas," Mr Champion said. But Liberal senator Mitch Fifield said the coalition had a positive agenda, pointing to its promise to repeal the carbon tax, turn back the boats, stop government waste and provide a new plan for engagement with Asia. The government always complained the opposition was being constantly negative, he said. "But the thing is it's not being negative to point out when a government is failing - that's the duty of an opposition." Senior Liberal Christopher Pyne said over the past two months Labor had thrown everything at Mr Abbott in a "vicious, personal smear campaign". And let's not forget that Tony Abbott Detritus threw the first sexist and misogynist rotten tomato at julia Gillard, PM...

pyne's whine and whine and whine...
Back on October 10...
Speaker Anna Burke gives Christopher Pyne the boot from Parliament
In a fractious Question Time, Opposition Leader Tony Abbott withdrew after accusing Prime Minister Julia Gillard of being a "piece of work."
Today's comment came a day after an unprecedented exchange between Ms Gillard and Mr Abbott during debate over the future of former Speaker Peter Slipper.
Mr Slipper quietly took his new seat in the back row across the aisle from former Coalition colleagues.
Government whip Joel Fitzgibbon briefly chatted to Mr Slipper.
Ms Burke accused Liberal MP Mr Pyne of flouting her rulings and sent him packing.
Mr Pyne objected to a Coalition question about a union buying a palatial home for an official, directed at Prime Minister Julia Gillard, being ruled out of order by Ms Burke.
Earlier he had asked Leader of the House Anthony Albanese to withdraw after he called a Liberal MP a "bloke" which Mr Pyne claimed was sexist.
A Labor MP yelled across the Chamber: "Sit down you sheila."

more crap from the tony detritus camp...
Julia Gillard has hit out at the Coalition, accusing it of ''nasty personal politics'' after facing fresh questions about her role in helping set up a union slush fund her former boyfriend used to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Deputy Opposition Leader Julie Bishop sought to table in Parliament what she said was a copy of a $67,000 cheque from the AWU Workplace Reform Association — which Ms Gillard helped establish as a partner at law firm Slater & Gordon in 1992 — and a Slater & Gordon trust account, from which funds were drawn to purchase a Fitzroy unit in 1993.
In a press conference in August, Ms Gillard said that at the time of the purchase she did not know that funds from the association or any other accounts related to the union were used to buy the property.
''As the lawyer advising on the conveyance, does the Prime Minister stand by her statement that she didn't know the money came from the union slush fund that she had assisted in establishing?'' Ms Bishop asked.
Ms Gillard refused to directly address the question, saying she had publicly dealt with the issue.
''I stand by all of my statements on this matter,'' she said.
In a fiery question time, Liberal MP Andrew Laming was thrown out of the chamber after shouting at the Prime Minister ''you are corrupt''.
...In addressing Ms Bishop's questions, Ms Gillard referred to a comment made by Opposition Leader Tony Abbott on Monday in which he said he would ''leave the nasty personal politics to the Labor Party''.
''Can I ask if the Opposition Leader endorsed the asking of this question?'' Ms Gillard said.
Ms Gillard said Mr Abbott's strategy was ''offensive'' but Ms Bishop hit back, saying it was offensive for the Prime Minister to suggest Mr Abbott was dictating her questions.
Ms Bishop said Ms Gillard had not answered the question and it was ''patently untrue'' for her to say she had dealt with the matters.
Ms Gillard said the questions were a ''cover-up'' for the Coalition's lack of a plan for the nation's future.

no charges...
The Australian Federal Police has been unable to find enough evidence to charge anyone in relation to the leaking of an expletive-laden video involving former prime minister Kevin Rudd.
The video, which was uploaded on the internet in February, showed Mr Rudd swearing in frustration as he recorded a message in Chinese several years ago.
An AFP spokesman says the investigation has finished, and the complainant has been notified of the outcome.
"The AFP did not identify sufficient material or evidence to substantiate charging of any person for theft or unauthorised disclosure," the spokesman said in a statement.
"The AFP has finalised the matter and as such, it is not appropriate to comment further."
The video appeared on YouTube in the lead-up to Mr Rudd's failed leadership challenge in February.
It was uploaded by a new member calling themselves HappyVegemiteKR, a reference to a phrase sometimes used by the former Labor leader.
At the time it became public, Mr Rudd said he assumed the "off-takes" of the video were destroyed soon after it was filmed.
"Obviously these either seem to have found their way into some archival storage somewhere in the PMO (Prime Minister's Office) or into a government department," he said.
"Anyone who's got a touch of suspicion about them would say that if this was done, somewhat embarrassingly, a couple of years ago and it suddenly emerges now, then obviously it's a little bit on the unusual side."
Some in Labor believe the video was leaked to harm Mr Rudd's chances of regaining the leadership, while others have raised the possibility that supporters of the former prime minister leaked it to keep the focus on the leadership.
This afternoon, a spokesman for Mr Rudd said he had no comment on the outcome of the police investigation at this stage.

It would have been sad should the AFP charged someone with doing something that actually was not wrong... Showing crazy Rudd in full flight would have been sweet revenge for those who got hit with his rages in the past, including a female attendant on a plane for serving the "wrong" meal...
between tweedledee you know and the devil...
As our tumultuous, indeed horrendous, parliamentary year limps to a close, it is tempting to glance across the Pacific and see if the final frantic days of the American election can give us a hint of what to expect next year when we too go to the polls.
And at first glance, the comparisons are striking: the incumbent, an incompetent, untrustworthy, nation-wrecking lefty extremist, a misfit elected more or less by accident to be replaced as soon as possible by whatever means come to hand; and the challenger, a policy-free right-wing religious nutter, a glib but gaffe-prone amateur clearly unfit for an office higher than that of chook raffler.
At least, this is the way they are portrayed by their respective opponents, and in both countries the libels have had some effect. For an alarming number of voters, the choice will not be a positive one, but rather a conscious effort to select the lesser of two evils.
And the worst of the abuse has not come from the politicians themselves, although both have been subjected to an inordinate amount of muck-raking: Obama about his birthplace and religion, and Gillard about her childlessness and her legal career. The public, given implicit licence by the politicians and the commentators, have thrown themselves into an orgy of hatred.
Much of the attack on Obama has been openly racist, with "Put the white back in the White House" the mildest of the slogans. And Gillard, of course, has had to put up with such sexist insults as "Ditch the witch" and "Bob Brown's bitch", not to mention the psychotic obscenities of Larry Pickering.
It must be admitted that both Barack Obama and Julia Gillard have disappointed their followers, who expected great and impossible achievements in their first term, and who have been unwilling to take into account the frustrations presented by economic stringency and a zealous and ruthless opposition.

AUSTRALIA’S first female prime minister has been trying to exploit the gender gap with her world famous “misogyny” speech to parliament and assorted allegations of sexism against the Opposition Leader.
For the most part it has come across as hypocritical and contrived, a cynical attempt to deflect attention from the Opposition’s attacks on her government failings.
But Tony Abbott played into Julia Gillard’s hands last week when he blamed a lack of “experience” with children in the government for its cuts to the Baby Bonus.
Apart from the fact there are plenty of parents, including mothers, on the government front benches, attacking Gillard’s childless status, if that is what was intended, was a bridge too far, a blow too low.

Dear Miranda, one has to remember here that Tony Detritus threw the sexist tomato of misogynnnnnnny first and the wind from the Prime Minister's breath blew it back on his face...
in the rest of the world...
She says several leaders also commended for her parliamentary speech of several weeks ago, in which she labelled Opposition Leader Tony Abbott a misogynist.
"The president of France congratulated me on the speech, as did the prime minister of Denmark," Ms Gillard said.
"Some other leaders, just casually as I've moved around, have also mentioned it to me, so some approval here from some leaders at the Asia Europe meeting."
Asian and European leaders ended the summit with a pledged to deepen economic ties and promote free trade.
Australia is providing $12 million annually in educational aid to Laos and Ms Gillard will visit a local school this morning.
She will then head to Bali for the Bali Democracy Forum.
Indonesian president Susilo Bangbang Yudhoyono has asked Ms Gillard to co-chair the forum.

-----------------------
Apart from the stupid Aussie media that was found lacking underpants when its trousers fell to the tar, the rest of the world has seen true value in a speech that was a retort to a little gnome who claims to be the Orstralyan opposition leader. He had poked the prime Minister with sexist and misogynist remarks to be hit back in the face with well deserved red-head fire...
And now imagine Tony Detritus chairing a forum!... Hell, that forum would soon look like a St John bastardry initiation party...
winning not whining...? her?....
BY: NIKI SAVVA
BARACK Obama is not the best president America has ever had but he is surely one of the most extraordinary and his story one of the most compelling.
His political triumphs have been truly epic, even if his record so far has failed to match them. He confounded the Clinton machine in 2008 to win the Democratic nomination, then went on to defeat a genuine American war hero.

Another crap heading from the merde-och stable of dung beetles... It's quite amazing to see the merde-och women (such as Niki Savva, Janet Albechtsen, Miranda Devine) seem to resent the fact that Julia Gillard is a successful woman. Whether we like her policies or not, she, at no point — apart from that speech — has been whining.
And THAT speech was not whining. It was pointing out firmly and clearly that some people (Tony Abbott and his mates) had crossed the line. Tony has crossed that misogynist line many times before and then innocently he will utter "me? I did not do that... I love women"
The biggest whiner in this country is Tony Detritus Abbott — by a hundred miles. He is also the most two-faced windbag.
Telling Julia Gilllard how to suck eggs is a bit of a self aggrandisment, Niki.
It's telling a woman who knows far more about tactics of dealing with a zillion suckers, how to ride a bike she's been riding way before you were born or became a journo, Niki.
I hope that behind the pay-wall you point out that Tony is the most DULL-WHINER there is on earth, with a giant negative streak and zero policy values... That would be a step in the proper direction.
See toon at top.
more crap from pyne...
Christopher Pyne had his airbrush out yesterday – erasing the entire global financial crisis from Australia's economic history.
"Well if there had been a Coalition government for the last five years ... I think most people accept that we would have had continuing surpluses," he told Sky television.
Actually most people do not accept that.
In 2009, a forecast $20 billion surplus became a $57 billion deficit in part because Labor spent more than $50 billion as stimulus in the face of an international economic meltdown and in part because company tax revenue collapsed due to the financial crisis.
What Coalition leader Malcolm Turnbull said at the time was that we should have spent less on the stimulus – maybe $25 billion or $30 billion. The Coalition waved through the first $10.2 billion stimulus package but opposed the second $42 billion package on the basis that it was too big – and that spending of about $15 billion to $20 billion would have been more appropriate.
It's pretty safe to assume that revenue would have collapsed just the same, no matter who was in the Lodge.
In retrospect, what Mr Turnbull said looks pretty smart (he also argued it was implausible to effectively and efficiently spend $16 billion on school halls in the timeframe proposed and that the pink batts scheme should be means-tested or require a co-contribution from the householders, which might have saved a whole lot of pain) But even if Australia had done exactly as the Coalition said we should do at the time, we'd still have come out of the crisis about $180 billion in debt, rather than $200 billion. And the nation would still have run very large budget deficits.
Mr Pyne has every right to question where the Gillard government intends to get the money to pay for its promises on a national disability insurance scheme and the Gonski education reforms, and it is possible that a Coalition government might have now been in a better fiscal position. But breezy statements that the Coalition would have "got through the global financial crisis quite easily" do not match the facts

and policies too...
Fantastic... The media is ignoring the greasy Lib (conservative) pizzas for the Tony pizzaz, according to Pyney-whiney... Yep the Liberal Policies include destroying the careers of Thomson and Slipper, while killing off the NBN, the Carbon tax, which sofar is the only efort Australia has done towards mitigating climate change and of course, promoting child care to NANNY CARE which is designed to benefit the rich folks, mainly... Liberal Policies are for the rich and include the destruction of the environment for profit (for the rich)...
Pyne should be proud as Punch.
The Liberal (conservative) plethora of policies in more like a Pandora's box of tricks...
outrageous sexism...
Former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton has again condemned the "outrageous sexism" experienced by former prime minister Julia Gillard but has stopped short of naming current Prime Minister Tony Abbott among those at fault.
In her book, Hard Choices, Ms Clinton says the treatment meted out to Ms Gillard during her time as the nation's leader by her former political opponents "shouldn't be tolerated in any country".
Speaking to the ABC's 7.30 program, Ms Clinton reiterated her strong opposition to discrimination against politicians based on gender.
"I'm referring to the way her political opponents characterised her," Ms Clinton said.
"The menu at that famous event, that was in print, about a prime minister who happened to be a woman. Some of the language that was used in debate or by the Parliament, out of the Parliament, but still in the political to-and-fro.

incredibly brave...
“I think she’s an incredibly brave woman. I think she’s incredibly brave. I know how brave she was because I was there with her as she endured one of the ugliest campaigns I’ve ever seen waged against not just a woman but anyone in this country,” Mr Morrison told reporters on Wednesday morning.

Amazing! Scott Morrison recognises that Julia Guillard was very badly mistreated by the Libs, Tony Abbott, her own Labor Party and the Murdoch Media, as she endured the ugliest campaigns we’ve ever seen waged against not just a woman, but anyone in this country... Err... Sorry... Scottmo meant someone else... Ah... Nicolle Flint...
At least Julia did not complain too much except for an amazing speech to enlighten Tony Abbott... This is not an excuse to tolerate such abuse but Scomo shoud recognise that Gillard was not treated well by his side of politics...
Anyway read from top...
