Abbott has also rejected calls that Jones should be kicked out of the Liberal Party and banned from future events [Liberal (conservative) functions].

It appears that, for better or worse, Abbott and Jones are in it together and both seem to be banking on the outrage over the comments going away.

And so it may be that the door has opened just a little bit wider for the Anyone But Abbott campaign. This grass roots organisation is running an independent candidate in Abbott’s federal seat of Warringah, with a view to forcing leadership renewal upon the Liberals. Yesterday, they released an official press statement charging Abbott with a lack of leadership.

Will the ABA campaign take off? Will their candidate present a credible alternative to the 59 per cent Liberal voting electorate? Only time will tell. For now, they have certainly landed the first blow on the former pugilist with their strongly worded statement.

Note: apparently Jones is not a member of the Liberal (conservative) party... Just an ultra-conservative person who supports the Liberal (conservative) party... And the horror that the "young" Liberals (conservative) at Sydney University applauded the crap dished out by Jones and get their minds constantly polluted by Liberal ingnoramusities on issues such as global warming, social equity and the like... These "young" idiots, whose brains are shaped by the likes of Jones will be high-up in the Liberal (conservative) party, one day... Amongst them, there could be the next Tony Detritus, called James, Paaulus or Abdullah... FRIGHTENING....

Of course most of the retailers and the dung beetles in the merde-och press are praising Jones with faint condemnation... At this stage, I would not care less about Jones myself if he was not a spruiker for the ignoramuses and pushed total crap against the notion of global warming... No... Does Jones want to be remembered as one of the rat bags who killed-off proper policy and destroyed the planet by neglect? Because let's face it, any denialist against climate change action is basically a murderer. Climate change kills people — more people than terrorism and war. Every time a climatic event, say, kills a dozen people, a few of these would not have died if it had not been for that event been that much fiercer due to climate change. And climate change is presently induced by our burning of fossil fuels...

SHOCK jock Alan Jones has been dumped as headline speaker at an anti-coal seam gas rally on the Tweed next week, with organisers condemning him as a 'thoughtless bastard' for his extraordinary personal attack on Julia Gillard.

Alan Jones has become a champion of the anti-CSG movement, telling the National Press Club last week that prime farming land was being turned into 'a quarry and a worthless lunar landscape' by miners.

The right-wing commentator, who grew up on a farm on the Darling Downs, has even sided with the Greens on the issue.

Jones was to have been guest speaker at the 'Rock the Gate' anti-CSG rally and concert at Murwillumbah on October 13.

But after a public outcry and threats of a boycott, organiser Michael McNamara said the controversial Sydney broadcaster's invitation to speak at the event had been withdrawn.

WHEN I repeated last Saturday week, at a private dinner of the Sydney University Liberal Club, a comment I had heard only hours before at a birthday party for one of my godsons, as I said yesterday, I was wrong.

Prime Minister Julia Gillard was entitled to an apology, which I publicly offered and repeated yesterday.

My attempts to deliver it personally to her were in vain.

She declined to take my call.

The comments which should not be repeated here were in bad taste.

But party talk of the prime minister's untruths is a measure of real anger out there about Gillard's persistent and unapologetic breach of public trust.

On top of the carbon tax and asylum seeker broken promises, the taxpayer now sees ballooning debt.

And after endlessly talking about the necessity of a floor price for carbon dioxide emissions, come 2015, suddenly everything said in the past means nothing.

The consequences for revenue of this latest about face are mammoth.

The compensation package to taxpayers will remain as if the carbon dioxide price were $29 a tonne.

Yes, our PM should not accept any apologies from Jones, they are delivered with barbs and bile...

My personal anger at Jones isn't about him saying something stupid and nasty about PM Julia Gillard's father... It is about using his "apology" to spruik more crap about global warning being crap... It is about him sulling (corroding) his apology to spruik his hatred of the carbon tax and telling more lies about it... It is about Jones being Jones — a liar, an ignorant master of chosen ignorance, with a mouth that can't stop telling porkies... 

Of all the hypocritical dung thrown in the ring are some people making excuses for Jones that he is a "charitable" man "despite his flaws"... How very catholic of these people... One can be as charitable as christ and still be a complete bastard... The two are not exclusive... I prefer a million persons who are uncharitable but not nasty and not ignorant like Jones... The world would be far better off without such charity being often laced with intent and spoils... And Jones is often charitable for the "adulation" he gets from it...

His godchildren should renounce him. The recipients of his charity should renounce him... That would hurt him and possibly make him think... Because, let's not be coy about it, he uses "charity recipients" to indotrinate these with his crooked views.... A renouncement from his recipients would be far more effective than any half-cocked apologies coming from Jones himself... No, do no lynch him, but ignore him, let him sweat without adulation into loneliness...
