In trouble, under investigation and on top - Sydney radio's terrible two continue to prosper in the ratings, but they may just have some better natured competition.
Proving yet again that controversy is no bar to victory, the latest round of radio ratings - Survey 4 for the year - have been released, with two of our more notorious shock jocks taking out the number one place in the coveted breakfast arena.

On AM, 2GB’s Alan Jones was the Sydney brekkie winner, gaining 1.4 points to an 18.5 per cent share of the audience, while on FM first place went to 2Day FM’s Kyle Sandilands, up 0.7 to 10.5 per cent.

Acting Prime Minister Wayne Swan has declared July 1 will be a political "game-changer" for Labor, as the major parties prepare for the introduction of the carbon tax.

Labor has been pinning its hopes on a turnaround in the opinion polls once the tax starts and its effects are known, despite an ongoing campaign from the Opposition against the policy.
