le creme de la crème…

They lie… We lie and all is well…

…. We justify our existence with unbelievable beliefs… The main question is “are we the only species trying to make sense (nonsense) about what we are?”

“Are we the only species that can imagine the future beyond our next meal because of hunger or beyond the next session of nit-picking because we itch?”

From time to time, we explore our delusions and aspirations, hopefully in order to avoid stupidity and pain, while creating comfort and maintain a certain mental stability… It’s getting more difficult in the political mess we are bombarded with, though there is a bit more sanity in Australia than America, we could say…

We do all this synergy in the confines of our inter-relationships, the self, and the other people we don’t know but are told about via books, oral history, traditions and the news — and the way we govern the mob…

Presently, we try to do this last item via “democracy” — a simple system in which we value the importance of others equal to our own… But it’s not an easy task as we all have different opinions about “the importance of being earnest”… As well, too many greedy people try to destroy this concept with royalism, elitism, fascism, nazism, corporatism, anarchy and other idiotic concepts such as theocracy.

And democracy itself can become tainted with any of these ideas. Australia for example is a constitutional monarchy, governed via a parliamentary democracy in the Westminster tradition… In all countries of the world, the system of governance is hierarchical — even in Switzerland.

It was 1982, and the world was on the verge of WW3…

Benjamin Creme first gained worldwide attention in 1982 when he announced in seventeen of the world’s major newspapers that Christ had returned to earth physically (more on this later). He claimed that Maitreya would solve the world’s major problems – social, economic, and political – and usher in a New Age of peace and prosperity.

By 1983, we were 15 minutes away from destroying the planet…

On 26 September 1983, during the Cold War, the Soviet nuclear early warning system Oko reported the launch of one intercontinental ballistic missile with four more missiles behind it, from the United States. These missile attack warnings were suspected to be false alarms by Stanislav Petrov, an engineer of the Soviet Air Defence Forces on duty at the command center of the early-warning system. He decided to wait for corroborating evidence—of which none arrived—rather than immediately relaying the warning up the chain of command. This decision is seen as having prevented a retaliatory nuclear strike against the United States and its NATO allies, which would likely have resulted in a full-scale nuclear war. Investigation of the satellite warning system later determined that the system had indeed malfunctioned.

It is now 2025, America and Russia still don’t trust each others — and we know why: the American Empire has wowed to destroy Russia, since 1917. Meanwhile Europe is led by a bunch of crazy idiots preparing for war… WW3…

Are we nuts? Sure….

We believe in rainbows, devils, gods, angels, reincarnation and a lot of different illusions often collected from our “sleeping” dreams. We invent ghosts, tulpas, ghouls, zombies and we even can see departed people (the dead) on our recordings and photographs. “We contact the dead with our ouija boards…”…

Strangely as rainbows may have a negative occult power in some belief systems, the rainbow is an empowering symbol in Aboriginal culture.

However, the New Age Movement uses rainbows to signify their building of the Rainbow Bridge (antahkarana) between man and Lucifer who, they say, is the over-soul.

New Agers place small rainbow decals on their automobiles and book stores as a signal to others in the Movement. Sore people, of course, use the rainbow as a decoration, unaware of the growing popular acceptance of its occult meaning and the hidden dangers.

 ...

"It is the contention of this writer that for the first time in history there is a viable movement - the New Age Movement - that truly meets all the scriptural requirements for the antichrist and the political movement that will bring him on the world scene.

"It is further the position of the writer that this most likely is the great apostasy or ‘falling away' spoken of by the Apostle Paul and that the antichrist's appearance could be a very real event in our immediate future.”

Here, we are hit with a hard critique of many of our beliefs, from Christianity to Buddhism. The antichrist is busy coming…

Why do we need — why do various cultures need — to fill the uncertainty in our brains with what is unsubstantiated and unsubstantiable ideas?

While most of sciences provide much better understanding of the mechanical features of life, in which our memory and ideas are integrated, many people still want easy illusions… Sciences are hard work and harsh understandings of the reality of energy, time and matter that give us consciousness via our delta shift of memory.

By this I mean that without memory — as shown with people afflicted with Alzheimer’s or such memory loss, one’s identity tends to vanish. Language and ideas disappear as we cannot interpret what our sense perceive any more. This process happens to various degree of intensity and momentarily when we become “depressed”… We lose our sense of self.

As mentioned before on this site, the human memory capacity is greater than what we need for basic survival. This creates uncertainty and angst that we fill with a quest for stylistic understanding.

When we do not know, we invent a belief rather acquire knowledge of admit not knowing. Of course, beliefs in gods and such are often equated as knowledge by charlatans, con-artists and preachers. It’s not.

The main thrust of this is that life is a complex chemical reaction that protects itself by defences, has necessary “offence” to acquire proteins (and other food) and by replication within species with the destruction of individuals. This process has random and accidental changes, some being evolution some being extinction. We hope for eternal life… It won’t happen. We hope for Nirvana, Heaven or Utopia… It won’t happen.

In this self-developing life, there is no ultimate purpose but to be a monkey, a lion or a dog. As humans, through our stylistic interpretation of life, we can modify this process by inventing our purpose and our survival chances — to a point. There, we should stylise and appreciate happiness, because…

We invent AI and pills — which are digital manipulations and chemical substances that modify our consciousness.

So, next, we might investigate what visions other people have devised for the future — philosophies which we can share or dismiss — in order to maintain our survival comfort — to individually enjoy and democratically share…

Søren Aabye Kierkegaard (1813–1855) was an astonishingly prolific writer whose work—almost all of which was written in the 1840s—is difficult to categorize, spanning philosophy, theology, religious and devotional writing, literary criticism, psychology and social critique.

Kierkegaard’s mode of philosophizing opposes system-building and owes more in its approach to the ancients, particularly his hero Socrates, though his work also draws strongly and creatively on the Bible and other Christian sources. The opposition to system-building means that Kierkegaard has often been understood as an arch opponent of Hegel, but scholarship in recent decades has challenged and complicated this view, suggesting both that some of Kierkegaard’s central ideas are creative developments of Hegel’s ideas, and that the main target of his critique is certain Danish Hegelians influential in his day, rather than Hegel himself (see especially Stewart 2003 and section 4 below).

Also often dubbed the “father of existentialism”, this label obscures at least as much as it reveals, especially to those who associate existentialism with atheistic figures such as Sartre. Kierkegaard’s thought has certainly influenced thinkers in the phenomenological and existential traditions (including Heidegger, Sartre, Jaspers, Marcel, and Lévinas), but also thinkers in very different philosophical traditions, such as Wittgenstein (who famously described him as a “saint” and “by far the most profound thinker” of the nineteenth century). In addition to influencing philosophers and theologians—inside and outside his own Lutheran tradition—Kierkegaard’s thought has also influenced various novelists and poets (including Henrik Ibsen, Franz Kafka, Miguel de Unamuno, August Strindberg, W. H. Auden, Walker Percy, John Updike, Richard Wright, R. S. Thomas, and Haven Kimmel); artists and filmmakers (including Edvard Munch and Carl Theodor Dreyer); psychiatrists and psychotherapists (including Ludwig Binswanger, Carl Rogers, Rollo May, R. D. Laing, and Irvin Yalom). (For articles on several of these influences in philosophy, theology and literature, see Carlisle 2013, Welz 2013, Shakespeare 2013, Rudd 2013, Lippitt 2013b, Barrett 2013, Lisi 2013, and Pyper 2013.)

One reason why Kierkegaard has had an impact upon such a diversity of figures is his focus on the question of what it means to be an existing, finite human being, a concern he associates with “inwardness”, and which contrasts with what he takes to be the misguided idea that one can understand reality in a disengaged manner and from no particular point of view. He believed that his age had in various ways forgotten this fundamental truth, an enormous failing manifested in both its philosophy and its theology.

Alexandra David-Néel (l. 1868-1969) was a world traveler, writer, and Buddhist spiritualist who wrote over 30 books on her journeys which took her 18,641.136 miles (30,000 km) around the world on foot or by various conveyances. Her works influenced the writers of the Beat Generation, and she remains an iconic inspiration for many in the present day.

She was born in a suburb of Paris, France during the Victorian Era (1837-1901) noted for its adherence to "traditional values" and beliefs. "Victorian Morality" today is a byword for prudishness and the period is frequently referred to as "straitlaced" and conservative even though the latter part of the 19th century also saw remarkable innovations in thought and cultural progress providing many opportunities for personal expression.

These newfound freedoms, however, were still largely reserved for men. In the value system of Victorian Europe, the expectations for a young woman were very clear: one married as respectably as possible, had children, and maintained a home. Against this backdrop, David-Néel rejected the values imposed upon her and chose to live her life exactly as she pleased. Although not as well-known as her contemporary Gertrude Bell (l. 1868-1926), Alexandra David-Néel was equally accomplished and her influence as significant.

Élisée Reclus (born March 15, 1830, Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, Fr.—died July 4, 1905, Thourout, near Bruges) was a French geographer and anarchist who was awarded the gold medal of the Paris Geographical Society in 1892 for La Nouvelle Géographie universelle.

He was educated at the Protestant college of Montauban and studied geographyunder Carl Ritter in Berlin. Having identified himself with the republicans of 1848, he was obliged to leave France after the coup d’etat of 1851. He spent the years 1852–57 visiting the British Isles, the United StatesCentral America, and Colombia. Returning to France, he applied himself to geography, publishing La Terre, description des phénomènes de la vie du globe, 2 vol. (1867–68; The Earth: A Descriptive History of the Phenomena of the Life of the Globe, 4 vol., 1871–73) and Histoire d’un ruisseau (1869; “History of a Brook”).

During the German siege of Paris (1870–71) he participated in Nadar’s balloon ascents. Serving in the National Guard in defense of the Commune, he was taken prisoner in April 1871; but his sentence of transportation for life was commuted in January 1872 to one of perpetual banishment after European scientists had appealed to the government on his behalf. After a visit to Italy, he settled at Clarens, Switz.

GUS: ONE COULD WONDER WHY A "NON-PHILOSOPICAL CHARACTER, NOT "SEARCHING FOR MEANING" BUT CREATER OF ILLUSIONS SUCH AS WALT DISNEY IS DOING IN THIS CROWD OF "HEAVY THINKERS"...

WHILE MOST PHILOSOPHERS PLACED THEIR IDEAS AS "FINDING THE TRUTH" OR "INVENTING A PURPOSE", WALT DISNEY CONQUERED THE MIND OF MILLIONS (BILLIONS) OF PEOPLE VIA THE POWER OF ENTERTAINMENT, RATHER THAN BY "PREACHING"... HE PUSHED THE POWER OF HOLLYWOOD AD-OC MOVIE-MAKING INTO THE DOMAIN OF BELONGING TO A GREATER "CULT" IN WHICH ONE DOES NOT HAVE TO BELIEVE TO BE AMAZED — THAT OF FANTASY CHARACTERS FAR MORE FRIENDLY THAN "REAL" GODS AND DEMONS... THE SMILE ON MICKEY MOUSE IS ENDEARING TO MOST KIDS...

BEING BORN IN EUROPE, GUS NEVER HAD THIS AMAZING AFFINITY WITH MICKEY, AS WE HAD OUR OWN FANTASY CHARACTERS, THOUGH THEY NEVER EXPANDED BEYOND LOCAL REGIONS. THEY BELONGED TO FOLKLORE RATHER THAN BEING "INVENTED" AND MARKETED WITH CLEVER PROMOTIONAL TECHNIQUES.

UNFORTUNATELY, IT SEEMS THE PRESENT CROP OF DISNEY COMPANY THINKERS HAVED LOST "THE PLOT" BY GOING "PHILOSOPHICAL"...

Life cannot be perfect because perfection is still, while Life is about change, transformation and evolution/extinction. Life can only be in a set of very specific cosmic circumstances of abundance of certain elements and their associations, including water, within a very limited bracket of temperature randomly maintained by a star energy-space we call the solar system — as we travel towards entropy...

Beyond survival, humans have developed the notions of duty and invention that help us perform better, while we have created illusions to value our existence — individually and as a controlled group(s). Whether we exist or not is irrelevant to the universe, it is only relevant to ourselves...
