Oh dear me, Arthur.
Meanwhile...I wonder who we higgerant, bored, 'bilious Howard-hating' 'mob' of voting scum (who so want to 'move on' from Kids Overboard, 'cos anyhow youse look at it, good ol' Honest John stopped them boats comin', huh)...will be moved to believe in this other developing uniform v. suit truth-telling head-to-head?:
The Minister for Defence, Robert Hill, has denied he blocked an Australian military lawyer from being interviewed by a US investigation into the Abu Ghraib prison scandal. But a US Army spokesman told ABC radio the Government had blocked Major George O'Kane from appearing.
Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock, tickety-tock...like decency, accountability & credibility through the hourglass, JWH...so are the days of your lies.
And as for all those who, like that unbilious Howard-loving family man Dennis Shanahan, reckon Kids Overboard might/should morph from being a defining election debate over the (mis)use of State executive power to demonise Human Beings solely for political gain, into a broader re-run 'referendum' on the ultimate 'effectiveness' of Border Protection...well, do pardon my moralising, but I just can't begin to imagine a more condescending and contemptuous view of the Australian people than that. We haven't got a hope in hell of providing any government with a genuine democratic 'mandate' for a policy, after all, unless we're told the whole bloody truth about precisely what it really involves first, right?
Vote 1 for chilli in helpless kids' food, Dennis?
So...is this what YOUR election-winning policy made OUR honourable ADF - including my brother (see NHJ! p. 73/74) - resort to during Operation Relex, John 'Winston' Howard? If so, then tell us, at least - and on the bloody Public Record, Honest John - so we can all vote properly on the 'ishoo' this time around.
Fair enough?
