from wedge to sledge .....OK, so let’s get this right. Joe says that he cancelled Haneef’s visa because of a suspicious chatroom discussion between him & his brother in India & his alleged attempted “hasty” departure from Awstralya. The information that Joe released today was in the hands of Keelty’s feral flatfoots from the day they arrested Haneef. That information was tabled in court during Haneef’s bail application & was also available to “Buggsy”, the DPP. Now, Keelty’s boys had four (4) weeks to break Haneef’s story, but apparently couldn’t. The court wasn’t convinced, as evidenced by its decision to grant Haneef bail. In the final analysis, Buggsy wasn’t convinced either, which is why he dropped the original charge & declined to lay further charges against the hapless Haneef. Then, allegedly on the advice of Keelty’s boys (advice which the courts & Buggsy found unconvincing), Joe decided that the rattus government knew best & that he would engineer Haneef’s continuing false imprisonment by cancelling his visa. Today Joe feels compelled to justify his original visa decision by releasing his reasons for having taken it. But how can Joe defend his decision when he, himself, subsequently overturned it, when he released Haneef? Either Joe is a rotten liar of the first order or he is guilty of aiding a known terrorist. He must be one or the other. If he truly believed Haneef was guilty, he wouldn’t have let him go. As Minister for Discrimination, Joe could have kept Haneef in detention indefinitely … keeping us safe. He has more power than bushit has over the inmates of Guantanamo Bay. The reason Joe let Haneef go was to get him out of the country, so the potential political fallout for the rattus government could be minimised & so Haneef couldn’t defend himself. Today we saw the switch from wedge to sledge … This is the mob that says we should trust them to make “executive” decisions which have the effect of placing the government above the law. Moreover, they want us to trust them with those decisions based on “secret” evidence. In your dreams boys ….
