One didn't have to be homo to see bent rainbows

One did not have to have pride to have pride

As we had been tenderised 

Not genderised

by our traditional personal array of born appendages, 

Romantically used for sexo-pleasure and proto-reproduction

Though we might need to be gay to be in charge of the arts

Because we, artists of yesteryears, are now rejected old farts

By the rainbow crowd that sees us with zero-minimum advantages

One did not have to sodomise the world to exist

Except bugger our sworn enemies on the long list

Those of the American empire who give us the shits

One didn't have to be a woman to play with a woman’s tush

Nor be from Lesbos to play with her lovely tits

But one may need to be a LGBT-i to join the navy today

Because of the recommended unavoidable equalities

In order to fire a loaded gun for the Pentagon loonies

While we pray to “it” — the almighty — a genderless god to which we make wows

Including one of thems, born from a sexless virgin parent

Then died on a wooden cross for us to repent

In an eternal relativity because we love thems — that trinity

That shows us the grand mystery of a threesome unity

In common hatred of the Eastern Russian Orthodoxy

Because Russia reject the gayness of the rainbows

And burns the funny flags which indicate we used to be fags

Hiding away from the evil conversion rooms

Avoiding the evangelicals with soul-cleansing brooms

While we, the straight old people, are confused by so many

Visions of butts, dicks, cracks and exposed fanny

In our old face that lived along well, though not being gay

We were nonetheless so happy and gay

And embracing of all the minority varieties

But now, we would find it hard to be young in a sea of feathers

Boas and sequinned arses, strings for underwear

And walking in ten foot yellow heeled-shoes

Making it impossible to know who’s mother or who are the fuckers

In a world of loving black crows and of hating the Siberian bear

Us, skilfully nipped and tucked, 

Beautifully re-fashioned 

Against Russia, forever our commanders turning on the screws. 

Making a huge profit for our big bomb-makers

Though let’s face it, we are on the bad side of the losers.

Navy removes failed fitness tests from records in bid to keep sailor numbers high

The Navy is wiping the slate clean for active-duty and reserve sailors who have failed fitness tests, as the service tries to keep retention numbers up by easing the way for sailors to reenlist or receive a promotion.

Service members who failed a physical fitness assessment on or before Feb. 15 will have their records reset to zero, the Navy said Thursday in a statement. 

Those sailors also will be eligible for other career opportunities, such as a change of duty station, according to the announcement. 

 

The policy cancels all administrative separations for officers due solely to successive failed PFAs. Enlisted sailors must make a request to cancel a separation or retirement resulting from repeated fitness failures, the Navy said. 

The reset gives sailors, whose ability to prepare for and take PFAs was limited because of COVID-19 restrictions, an opportunity to meet fitness standards and stay in the service, the statement said. 

During the pandemic, the Navy shifted to a single annual fitness testing cycle as outlined in a January 2021 memo. Prior to the pandemic, the service had two annual testing cycles. 

Faced with missed recruitment goals, the Navy has renewed efforts to focus on retention, such as offering sizeable reenlistment bonuses and suspending for two years a program that capped how many years an enlisted sailor could serve. 

Sailors with certain ratings can receive as much as $30,000 per year of additional service in bonuses. 

However, the total amount a sailor can receive is capped at $100,000, according to the Navy’s online personnel portal. The bonuses can be reduced or stopped depending on the Navy’s needs.

The policy change does not exclude counting failed PFAs in programs and processes such as officer commissioning, selection or screening boards and special duty screenings, the Navy said. 

And it isn’t permission for not meeting physical fitness standards, which, among other criteria, measure performance in activities such as running or swimming, and pushups. 

“It remains incumbent upon individual sailors to invest in their personal health and wellness in order to maintain warfighting readiness,” the Navy statement said.
