an anti-kremlin coalition was born — this is going to be ugly……...

Ukraine has a million-strong army poised to retake South, ministry says

President Zelensky gave the order to retake the areas, Ukraine’s defense minister told The Times

As ordered by the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, a million-strong fighting force has been amassed in the country to recapture its southern areas, which have previously been taken by Russian forces, defense minister Alexey Reznikov has told The Times.

“We understand that, politically, it’s very necessary for our country. The president has given the order to the supreme military chief to draw up plans,” he said in an interview published on Sunday.

“We’re people of the free world and with a real sense of justice and liberty. We have approximately 700,000 in the armed forces and when you add the national guard, police, border guard, we are around a million strong,” the minister added.

Reznikov praised the British effort to help Ukraine, especially Ben Wallace, Britain’s defense secretary, who, according to him, was key to helping shift the approach from providing Soviet equipment to NATO-standard 155mm artillery, guided multiple launch rocket systems and high-tech drones.

This, Reznikov explained, will make up for heavy losses in the Donbass region in the face of mass Russian artillery shelling. President Zelensky previously said Ukraine was losing some 200 men a day in the area.

Reznikov also mentioned other allies, claiming an “anti-Kremlin coalition was born.”

“Our partners in London and Washington DC and other capitals, they are invested in us, not only with money but the expectations of their people that we have to make the Kremlin lose. We have to win this war together,” he said.

Russia’s president Vladimir Putin’s old alliances have also been shattered, Reznik argued, pointing to Kazakhstan: recently president Kassym-Jomart Tokayev publicly refused to recognize the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics as sovereign nations.

“I’m sure that in the next few years we will see a procession of calls for sovereignty on Russian territory. The Russian Federation will finish its life as different countries – Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, etc,” Reznikov said.

Russia sent troops into Ukraine on February 24, citing Kiev’s failure to implement the Minsk agreements, designed to give the regions of Donetsk and Lugansk special status within the Ukrainian state. The protocols, brokered by Germany and France, were first signed in 2014. Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has since admitted that Kiev’s main goal was to use the ceasefire to buy time and “create powerful armed forces.”

In February 2022, the Kremlin recognized the Donbass republics as independent states and demanded that Ukraine officially declare itself a neutral country that will never join any Western military bloc.

Conservative backbencher Tom Tugendhat was the first to throw his hat into the ring to succeed Boris Johnson as Britain's prime minister, saying he sought to "bridge the Brexit divide that has dominated our recent history."

Tory leadership hopeful Tom Tugendhat has revealed the "naughtiest thing" he's ever done as he responded to a question by Sky News' Sophy Ridge on Sunday.

"Well, I invaded a country once," Tugendhat, a former soldier who now chairs the Commons foreign affairs committee, replied, prompting Ridge to chuckle.

On Saturday, another 22,298 Ukrainians crossed the Romanian border within a 24-hour interval, the border police said. Last week, an average of 11,000 crossings by Ukrainians to Romania were recorded daily.

Last month, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that over the course of the crisis in Ukraine, 7.5 million Ukrainian refugees have arrived in the European Union, and three million are still staying in the EU.

Ukrainian authorities are urging their citizens to leave the southern regions of the country, which are now under the control of the Russian army, Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk said on Sunday, as Kiev is preparing a counteroffensive in this direction.

According to Vereshchuk, the armed forces of Ukraine will launch a counteroffensive in the near future. “I don’t know in what numbers this will happen, but I know for sure that there should [in the cities of the alleged theater of operations] definitely not be women and children. It is clear that there will be active hostilities, including shelling, so we urge our citizens to urgently evacuate,”Vereshchuk added.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Alexey Reznikov, told The Times magazine that president Volodymyr Zelensky had given the order to prepare for an assault on the coastal regions of the south of the country. To do this, Kiev has gathered a million-strong army, and a plan is being worked out to attack those areas that are ‘politically’ important to Ukraine.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - The United States and its allies will not be able to maintain their current level of support for Kiev for a prolonged period of time, The New York Times reports citing anonymous officials.

Despite the fact that US President Joe Biden has vowed to stand with Ukraine for "as long as it takes," no one expects more billions of support for Ukraine when Washington’s currently authorized aid package of $54 billion in military and other assistance runs out, the newspaper said on Saturday.

Officials admitted to the newspaper that US and European stocks of weapons will run low at some point and it would be hard to sustain the same level of material support as war fatigue grows.

US spy images…..

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - US intelligence passes on satellite imagery to Kiev, including images of the Russian territory, where Ukrainian strikes are later carried out, targeting civilians, a member of the RaHDIt Russian hacker group told Sputnik.

"We know for sure that the American intelligence supplies Ukrainian intelligence with satellite images, radar data, including satellite images of Russian territory, where Ukrainian missiles and shells actually arrive. We can also see that their radar detection systems are working in the interests of Ukrainian intelligence," the hacker said.

At the same time, the RaHDIt member noted that the Ukrainian Beregini female hacker group has managed to establish channels for receiving information about the military situation.

"We have very good channels for obtaining information, channels that representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine themselves consider safe and secure. The girls from the Beregini group are very good technical specialists, and they managed the almost impossible," the hacker said on condition of anonymity.

According to RaHDIt, the Russian hackers and the Beregini team have obtained secret documents relating to the operation of the Ukrainian armed forces.

The Beregini hackers get some of their information from their friends who are in service in the Ukrainian army, the RaHDIt member told Sputnik.
