walking on sewage...
The political life and times of Scott Morrison will hopefully end at the next elections. On this line of articles and comments we will try to explain why Scotty should be booted out.
Scotty is a beast of great manipulation like a magician in a second-rate show-alley called parliament. And this is dangerous. He plays a deceitful game like a glib painted clown plays an important personage in a Shakespeare tragedy that demands the appearance of self-sacrifice. Yet, at no stage, is Scott able to take the blame for the crap, mishaps and fucups he has made you endure. Meanwhile, he will give good marks to himself for having survived these major SNAFUs. But should someone expose him as a fake, he will roll onto himself and play the martyr.
On the RATs issue, after telling us that he does not want to be the “government” dictating solutions to this and that problem, preferring to let private enterprise deal with finding the best way, his government snuffed all the RATs available in Australia from under the noses of doctors and pharmacists selling the RATs. They complained and his government had the gall to say “we did not take the RATs that were going to private enterprise…” or such. This was an act of bastardry, but should the truth be found out, the ScoMo government will wriggle out of this with a rare “apology”...
ScoMo will use the language of smooth spin to make you believe that he is god-chosen, in a way in which he will humbly acknowledge that he was the one who had chosen god. This is loony and dangerously hermetic (in both definitions: complete and airtight — and relating to ancient occult traditions of alchemy, astrology, and theosophy). The last thing politics need on this planet is god-bothering pollies — and from the evangelical variety to boot.
Spin is a way to make you think that what you see and think is the reverse, by making statements as if they were true, but are complex deceptive uttering. For example, let’s look at an article written by Deborah Snow for the Sydney Morning Herald. Unless one deeply studies the phraseology used by Scott Morrison, one would think he is the best philosopher/thinker on the planet. He is not. He is a lying politician versed into deception:
Australia’s performance at the recent Glasgow international climate conference was lacklustre at best, but Morrison says dismissively, “the lesson of history is not conferences. There were plenty of peace conferences in Europe. Didn’t change much.”
And you will swallow this shit. It seems that Deborah Snow, the journalist, is also swallowing this shit. There is no context, no time references and the result is a statement that has no value, not even its own sophistic/unverifiable delivery. But it sounds good as if it was a universal truth. It’s not. It’s utter bullshit.
Peace conferences did achieve more than ScoMo wants to admit, but this is not the point. These are a different kettle of fish to one on “global warming”. Scotty made sure he used the word “peace” rather than “climate" conference. Mind you, conferences such as the Paris Agreement have made strong statements that countries like Australia have been expert at wriggling out of the set intent, under Liberal (CONservative) government by manipulation of facts and figures that would make an accountant see prison.
Let’s analyse his words. What are the lessons of history? Conferences? Wars? Conflicts? Religious beliefs? Truthfulness? Deception? Now we are talking. His appearance at the Glasgow international climate conference was a grand lesson in deception. A deception of us to make us believe that his team of backwards country folks, the Nationals, has capitulated to his “forward” thinking. It was also a deception played by Scotty on Scotty… In fact the only forward thinking here was to find a devious mechanism to give the Scotty ILLUSION of solving “global warming” at the Glasgow conference without harming his chances of re-election — by taking a document with no genuine qualitative values and not a single proper quantitative values. It was a neat trick — a dirty trick.
Scott Morrison isn’t a universal man. He is a closed shop. he is a twister of narrative, without a hint of wit, but often uses a lot of venom and always polishes his platitudes. Even his joviality appears fake, because the sentiments are fabricated to suit the decor and the theatre, rather than being felt. This is obvious by his “explanations” after the “facts” and the manipulation of intent by refusing to do what should have been genuinely done.
Snow continues:
I point out, for instance, that he obfuscated over whether or not he’d unsuccessfully tried to get Hillsong church leader Brian Houston invited to a special White House dinner in 2019. He was “fully informed” on that but refused to clarify it for months.
“It’s not my job to do journalists’ work,” he says. “I’m asked many questions every day and … you know, sometimes they are very speculative, just seeing what I will say in reply. And so on that occasion, I chose not to ... umm … to respond”. (Houston at the time of the failed invitation attempt was under police investigation for allegedly covering up his father’s historical child sex abuse).
He says his opponents “try and tear me down, rather than having something constructive to say ... they did the same to John Howard, they demonised him for years and years and years and years and they are doing the same thing to me. I take it as a compliment [that] … calling names is the best they can do.
See how the table is quickly turned around? He soon ends up with John Howard having been demonised, so “John Howard must have been an angel" is the latent implication, and “So Am I" (Scott) is the resultant because "they are doing the same thing to me". Of course, this also implies Scott Morrison NEVER tried to demonise his opponents (or if he does it, he has been "right to do so”). Ugly answer, because we know he has lied to colleagues and he has demonised other people..
Not his job to do “journalists’ work"? His interminable press conferences suggest otherwise. Did I use the word conferences? In his own mind, press conferences are not conferences, but preaching to the media about how good he is (despite basically having fucked up), by appearing to have saved the situation with a half-baked solution. This has to appear as a plus, no?
This truck is proudly made in Australia. Oh my… The picture is telling. Scott is sitting in the driver’s seat like a good dog disguised with all the hi-vis equipment, as if a PM in his suit and tie would not look like a truck driver. Maybe Scotty should stick to truck driving...
"Proudly made in Australia"… Sure. Since when? Since Scotty of Trucking came into power? My guess is that Scotty of Soiled Nappy Merchandising is taking subliminal credit through opportunistic photo ops for a lot of things he has not personally contributed to. But the Journos and the photographers of the media love this (electioneering) stuff, despite being crass operations — and to a great extend robberies of previous contributions. Australia before Scott Morrison did not exist — or must have been a Neanderthal hell-hole. Now it is god-zone Scomostralia. It’s as good as seeing Tony Maggott at the wheel of a proudly made in Australia Holden.
“Why would you think that people who have a faith don’t live in the same world as everybody else, and have the same sets of relationships as anywhere else?” Morrison goes on. “I have been very clear about my view on [protecting] gay students and I have right from the outset.”
Excuse me? People who have faith are from a different planet: Planet bullshit. Religions and faith are bullshit. They are cultivated lies. They are lies of cultural manipulations and the people do not have the same sets of relationship than say “normal” people. I can go on to yet another dissertation on this subject but let’s leave it at this. “[protecting] gay students?” Is this the only issue that Scott is interested in, in this regard? Obviously, the journalist had to insert the word [protecting] because ScoMo's view on “gay students” is somewhat dicey… Deborah Snow continues:
I ask why the question makes him uncomfortable. “Because you put to me a perception … which I think is very loaded and is based on a view about people of faith which is, quite frankly, prejudiced.”
Later he adds, “The thing that may surprise people [is] that that centred sort of world I live in is a lot more diverse than they probably think; a lot more diverse than they probably think.”
This is complete and forceful delusion. Religion by definition is a pre-judice. A judgement of understanding without any analysis nor observations of reality. It is why it is called “faith” and “belief” because there is no evidence to support this "faith". And anyone who tells the bible is evidence of the existence of god will get poked in the eyes by me. The repeat of supposed “diversity” is Goebbels-like, but first it involves a smug self-delusion and second it involves an imposed delusion on the people by a slay of hands (or words). Scotty thinks he walks on water, and you better believe it. This is dangerously deluded. This is the kind of religious deceit that I often debunk on this site — and that Christopher Hitchens was referring to in his delivery of Intelligence squared back in 200x.
Snow continues:
I suggest to Morrison the government appears actively hostile towards the broadcaster [ABC].
He denies it. “But I do detect a bit of a [hostile attitude] from the coverage toward the government,” he says. “Every Coalition government has felt that. They keep criticising us … and we keep funding them!”
This ScoMo-esque answer should floor you. ScoMo and the Liberal (CONservative) Party want to “kill” the ABC. It was voted on at one of the Liberal conferences (bugger, this word is coming again). The reality is that “every government and opposition have been under scrutiny as they should be". The reality is that "it is the DUTY of every government to PROPERLY fund the ABC, FOR NO FAVOURS in return”. It’s in the charter. Thank you Ita.
But Deborah Snow let’s this ScoMo-logic go to the keeper as if it was a truth… May be Deborah Snow is cleverer than this, and instead of challenging ScoMo’s rubbish, she let’s it float as if ScoMo was walking on water and about to sink in the sewage, or for us to see the the trick...
He won’t accept that the Coalition now has a major reputational problem with Australian women, particularly younger women – not helped by one-time Liberal-turned-independent MP Julia Banks labelling him “menacing controlling wallpaper” in her recent book.
“That is a narrative that people are placing upon you, it’s not a narrative that I share … It’s not the narrative I necessarily get when I’m out and about, places far away from Canberra.”
Of course, when ScoMo is outside Canberra, he can play Jesus Christ the Saviour like a magician. The people in places don’t know the tricks. They mostly are “believers” in the resurrection. They get bamboozled by the spin. In Kanbra, some women have seen the smoke and mirrors used for the illusion of his position on females — and the conclusion is that ScoMo is a closet misogynist, who does not understand the issues, but reframe them to suit his road show.
Much more to come…

will we survive saucisson?...
As we await the 2022 Federal Election with cautious anticipation, the question is no longer whether the Morrison Government will survive but rather, will we survive this (never mind another) Morrison Government?
This year, like the last two perilous years under Morrison, began with international attention and, as usual, not for any positive achievements.
BORDERING ON RULESReferring to the bizarre scenario involving Novak Djokovic’s detainment by Border Farce Force, Morrison, basking in his five minutes of global interest – reflected though it was, courtesy of the world tennis number one – said:
“Rules are rules. No one is above these rules.”
By Michelle Pini
Much respect to any onlookers who managed to witness this little performance without choking on their morning coffee/stress pill/straight-up firewater.
Because, if “rules are rules”, why do Morrison’s MPs continue to break so many of them and face no consequences?
If rules mean anything at all, why is Australia, not following the international rules under the Human Rights Convention?
If rules are so important, why is the PM letting the pandemic rip, despite the National Cabinet’s stated rules?
And if rules are suddenly so imperative to this caricature of a leader, why does he change them as the mood takes him and then ignore the consequences as he trots off to the cricket, to far-off holiday destinations, or to film himself trying to appear domestically industrious?
As this Federal Government’s incidences of negligence and malfeasance continue to mount, consequences for responsible ministers have yet to emerge. So much for those rules.
IT JUST AIN'T CRICKETEnough has already been said about Djokovic and the Federal Government looks idiotic enough as it keeps changing its own rules. But farcical though that situation is, perhaps it will help to finally draw attention to Australia’s basement of shame — the place where we keep asylum seekers locked up and torture them against international law. This can surely be the only useful consequence of such a debacle?
There's one set of rules that needs to go.
More rules were suddenly done away with, in yet another shambolic episode of Morrison’s “handling” of the pandemic.
In December, the PM reiterated his earlier pronouncement that Australia would be opening up, despite the National Cabinet’s “rule” that every state would reach 80 per cent vaccination status:
It’s time to give Australians their lives back. ... We’ve decided as a country to live with this virus."
He then stood back awaiting the public adoration that would surely follow.
Pity he didn't bother to tell the states — or consult anyone else about what "we" decided.
Not about to miss out on any presumed adoration, New South Wales Premier Perrottet, eager from the get-go to let the virus rip, threw any prior rules out the window where Federal accountability had been already been tossed, declaring he would be removing both quarantine requirements and caps on overseas arrivals.
And idiotic though it may seem, unlike the PM, Perrottet, despite it not being in his jurisdiction wheelhouse, at least appeared in control as he let loose and announced the borders of his state would be open to all and sundry, rules be damned. Not that this was a helpful break away from the rules, of course, since the other states were, once again, uninformed.
So much for the "no opening up until everyone reaches 80 per cent" rules.
And since then, Australians have watched with varying degrees of fear and horror as all order and semblance of security flew out that now well-used window.
The "National Plan", such it was, is no more.
Vaccination appointment cancelled because there aren't enough to go around? Well, learn to "live with the virus".
Can't access a testing station or a rapid antigen test (RATs) test? We all decided to let it rip.
Have underlying conditions, compromised immune system or too young to have been vaccinated? The virus is to be lived with. Unless, of course, it kills you.
Scott Morrison, in his rush to "live with the virus" come what may, did not first take any safety precautions to prepare Australia's citizens.
Indeed, he has steadfastly refused to assist in any way whatsoever.
Somewhere along the way, "close contacts", defined by the World Health Organization as individuals with 'over 15 minutes face-to-face contact within less than two metres distance' from a positive COVID case, suddenly became "four hours" in Morrison-speak.
Teachers are urging for the delay of children's return to school as there are not enough vaccines to innoculate children and it is simply unsafe to do so.
Suppliers are pleading for practical help, such as making RATs tests available, as supermarkets and other essential items become scarce while everyone is living/dying with the virus.
And the PM? He has refused point-blank to provide free RATs tests (except for MPs), or to assist pharmacies and GPs to obtain vaccines and, long ago, abdicated his Government's responsibility for quarantine. There is no assistance for sick workers, no assistance for businesses grinding to a halt and clearly, no interest in helping Australians.
So, have you learned to live with the virus, yet? And, either way, will we survive this Morrison Government?
The answers, of course, are not nearly as complicated as the backstory behind why Border Force asked the Victorian Government to allow Djokovic to play tennis ahead of his arrival, allowed him entry into the country and then, at a subsequent time, remembered its own half-baked “rules”.
The answer to all the above questions is that this Morrison Government is not interested in rules. It’s not even concerned with the welfare of its own people in the midst of a global pandemic. Its interests lie only in getting re-elected and appeasing its donors so this can happen.

a forest of incompetence...
What a sorry excuse for a Prime Minister we have. Deborah Snow’s interview (“Defying gravity”, January 15-16) reveals a man who has done nothing, aspires to nothing, apologises for nothing and takes responsibility for nothing. Rather than seeing his job as that of managing the daily aspirations of middle-class Australia, he should be focused on the big issues facing Australia in the next 30 years or more. If he doesn’t know what these are, then he is not fit to lead this nation. When the nation is crying out for a statesman, we are being offered a mediocre politician who can’t see beyond tomorrow. Phil Peak, Dubbo
Scott Morrison says he is “a bit of a bulldozer, very mission, task-focused”, but Deborah Snow shows him to be more like the proverbial dog that caught the car. Having got the top job, it is clear that Morrison has no coherent plan for how to make the “economy strong, Australians safe, Australians together”. His only clear belief is that nothing is his fault or should have been done differently. It is “the system” that is at fault. Maurice Critchley, Mangrove Mountain
I ploughed through the interview with the Prime Minister who, like the expert he is, dodged and avoided any depth of reply or revelation to make us believe he has more than his own interests at heart. Basically, we are asked to believe he is just an ordinary chap from the poorer end of Bondi who made do with public schools and look at him now. Of course, there are ordinary folk who would consider attendance at Sydney Boys’ High quite a good start in life. As it is, he has constructed a persona who claims, while living comfortably at Kirribilli House, that he is happiest in the Shire and is just a plain ordinary chap with our welfare at heart. Of course. Nola Tucker, Kiama
How sad. When asked “if he had given any thoughts to his legacy”, the Prime Minister shot back, “No”. If only our Prime Minister could understand that “a true leader is one who designs the cathedral and then shares the vision that inspires others to build it”. Instead, all we get is another Groundhog Day. Peter Wilkosz, Byron Bay

I THOUGH I WAS LONELY IN MY SAVAGING OF SCOMO... But many people have seen the forest of this PM's incompetence and the weedy fields of his platitudes. Let's hope most people will see this as well, rather than just see the backwards baseball caps or the hard hats for a fake truck-driving PM, like Fido the dog in a photo op.
