time for new games…...

The Olympics are now the summit of political games, sponsorship favourism, secrecy and drugs, including those that WADA is not looking for. It is a compliment to any team to manage to swim in these murky waters without spitting turds…

It’s time for the FREE world (the real one not the US dependent one) to create their own Olympic Games and give the miss to the old ones. When Charles Pierre de Frédy, Baron de Coubertin re-invented the ancient Greek games, it was to unite the nations of the world, regardless of their status and actions. But the US Empire has highjacked this ideal to turn it into a mean spirit.

Of course the new games could not be called Olympics and the participants would have to find a title defining their hopes and sporting achievements.

patronising……….

The Albanese Government is continuing the Coalition's habit of using condescending language to discuss Pacific Island relations, writes Dr Binoy Kampmark.

WHEN WILL THIS nonsense on the familial connection between Australia and the Pacific end? In 2018, Australia’s then Pentecostal Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, drew upon a term that his predecessors had not. On 8 November that year, he announced that Australia’s engagement with the region would be taken to another level, launching a “new chapter in relations with our Pacific family”.

the relaunch of history…….

The recent festival of big Western politics – which began with a meeting of the European Council, continued with the G7 Summit, and ended with a major NATO gathering – provides plenty of food for thought about the fate of the world.

On the surface, what we have seen is impressive: The West is showing unprecedented unity in the face of the Russian campaign in Ukraine.

Why the West has failed to get the rest of the world on board to support its confrontation with Russia

the irish dilemma…...

Of all the people on planet earth, the Irish should understand the Donbass inhabitants seeking independence. But the media at large — even in Ireland — point at “Russia invasion of Ukraine” rather than to “the liberation of the Donbass” from the fascist Ukrainian government.

The Irish should know better. They have been tested by the situation and by a worldly spread Western media that is blind to the cause of the Donbass people, because it suits the Russophobia that has been cultivated by Western governments for more than 20 years.

So, Foreign Policy, a news outlet that is Russophobic to the hilt, pokes hot irons to the Irish neutrality:

the freedomola country seen from the land of serenity…...

Monday marks the 246th Independence Day of the United States of America. Two-hundred-and-forty-six years ago, the founding fathers of the US wrote that "All men are created equal". The authorities seems to be following this dictum-literally. The equality they promote is limited to men alone.

On June 24, the US Supreme Court ruled against Roe vs Wade, denying US women the right to an abortion. A 10-year-old girl who got pregnant after being raped in Ohio was denied an abortion as her state does not allow it once fetal cardiac activity is detected, in the sixth week of pregnancy. She was thus travelling to neighboring Indiana, which can prove very risky for her; she might bleed on the way, or suffer some kind of lifelong damage. But, who cares?

your gas at work throughout history...….

Back in time, when we had plenty of gasbags.... PM John Howard pushes 15 Bn gas deal with the US... All now hanging in the balance with Governor Arnold Beefcakenegger... The PM raised the issue with Vice president Dick Cheney-of-Halliburton at a private lunch yesterday. SEE: Pre-dinner informal talks......

the US are doing a good job at it….

WATCH: Mexican President Obrador Suggests Dismantling Statue of Liberty if Assange Convicted in US

The Mexican president has once again said that he was willing to provide asylum to Julian Assange, adding that he would raise the case during his meeting with Joe Biden next week.

The Statue of Liberty should be dismantled if WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is convicted in the United States, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said during a Monday press conference.

going towards the trump dump again…..

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) on Monday said that former President Trump’s return to office would feed into the “national malady of denial, deceit, and distrust” that the senator said President Biden has not been able to break through.

free Julian first…...

WNBA star Brittney Griner, who has been held in Russia since February, urged President Biden in a letter delivered to the White House on Monday not to forget about her and other Americans detained abroad.

“…[A]s I sit here in a Russian prison, alone with my thoughts and without the protection of my wife, family, friends, Olympic jersey, or any accomplishments, I’m terrified I might be here forever,” Griner wrote to Biden in excerpts of the letter shared by Wasserman, a talent agency that includes her management team.

‘calibrated’ dishonesty: western media coverage of venezuela sanctions……..

US sanctions, even by outdated estimates, have killed tens of thousands of Venezuelans. The unilateral policies have been widely condemned by multilateral bodies and human rights experts for their deadly impact, as well as for violating international law (Venezuelanalysis9/18/219/15/213/25/211/31/19).

disney tails…….

In 1985, at age 41, I visited Disney World for the first time. I remember the experience for two things: the endless lines so cleverly organized that you never knew how long they truly were and the Hawaiian Luau dinner I attended. Yes, a genuine Hawaiian feast that reminded me of American Chinese food circa 1953 and the unforgettable “entertainment” offered by “native” Hawaiian dancers with spears who smacked their weapons on the ground and rhythmically advanced on the diners glowering fiercely. Whoever those dancers were, they were quite skilled at playing “primitives” from elsewhere, also circa 1953, objects of fear, wonder, and scorn. (Oh yes, and Disney World was the place that first taught me this country had an obesity problem — along with some of the most fattening food on the planet.)

Liz Truss warns the world of evil women

The British foreign secretary disagreed with UK PM’s ‘if Putin were a woman’ claim, adding that such rhetoric is “unhelpful” for Kiev

British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has argued that calling Russia’s military campaign in Ukraine an example of President Vladimir Putin’s “toxic masculinity” is not the best way to help Kiev. Prime Minister Boris Johnson previously suggested that Putin would have behaved differently on the world stage if he were a woman.

misunderstanding the putin moves….

When the Russian invasion of Ukraine started on February 24, Australian embassy staffer Nadia Teriokhina had one thought on her mind: She didn't want to get trapped behind enemy lines.

She told Anthony Albanese she counted herself among the lucky ones.

Hundreds were massacred in Bucha, outside of Kyiv, and about 10 minutes from her home in Irpin, including women and children.

Some women were raped before they were killed.

"We didn't know what to do, how to behave or where to run," she said.

"I said to my husband, 'I just don't want to be in the occupied territory,' so we went to Kyiv."

Ukrainian tanks were headed in the opposite direction as they fled.
