DR STEVE TURLEY SEEMS TO BE A NICE GUY. AND HE IS. HE TRIES TO BRING BACK THE VALUES OF TRUTH, GOODNESS AND BEAUTY, WHICH ARE ESSENTIALLY STYLISTIC VALUES OF A HIGHER GRADE THAN MERE MECHANICAL ECONOMICS. HE SEEMS TO BE A CHRISTIAN GOD BELIEVER IN ORDER TO SOLVE OUR HUMAN PROBLEMS…

Stress! It’s a word that applies to all of us. But it doesn’t have to be this way!

For centuries, Christians have turned to an ancient prayer practice by which they found peace in the midst of life’s storms. And this same prayer practice can be used today to calm our hectic modern lives.

Here is a preview of what you'll learn:

Zelensky’s ‘cannon fodder’: The strange lives and pointless deaths of foreign mercenaries fighting in Ukraine

“My mates have died, and are dying. I’ve seen things out here that, from a military perspective, are beyond unacceptable,” says one Australian fighter

From the start of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, thousands of foreign mercenaries have joined Ukraine’s Armed Forces. They came to Ukraine from all over the world, but mostly from Poland, the US, and Canada. Recently, however, it seems that their interest in fighting for Kiev has significantly faded. This is evident both from estimates provided by the Russian Ministry of Defense and from foreign media reports.

the white house is still addicted.......

American investment banking giant Goldman Sachs has warned that the global oil market will see record-high demand, large deficits, and higher crude prices in the near term, due to low rig count in the US and uncertainty about long-run oil demand.

Speaking to CNBC’s news show “Squawk Box Asia” on Monday, Goldman’s head of oil research Daan Struyven said that the bank expected “pretty sizable deficits” in the second half of this year as demand would reach “an all-time high.”

The investment bank forecasts that Brent crude, a major benchmark, will rise from the current level of just above $80 per barrel to $86 per barrel by year-end, he added.

black humour: lukashenko suggested that wagner has a grudge against rzeszow, poland.....

In a recent exchange with Putin, the Belarusian President, Lukashenko, humorously mentioned the intention of Wagner's forces to attack Poland, a NATO member country. Such an offensive could trigger NATO's Article 5, prompting every member to come to the defense of Poland. Lukashenko suggests that Wagner has a grudge against Rzeszow, a Polish city that helped Ukrainian forces by supplying them with military equipment.

The Lukashenko joke that could start World War III

Lukashenko claims to keep Wagner's forces in central Belarus in order to concentrate them on training the Belarusian army and to avoid conflicts with Poland. However, Western intelligence detected a large buildup of Wagner bases near the Polish border, when joint military exercises were planned.

The fifty-third session of the UN Human Rights Council meeting now in Geneva could provide a perfect opportunity to advance peace as a human right and to meaningfully support the many roadmaps and blueprints for peace in Ukraine and proposals for peace in all conflict areas in Latin America, Africa and Asia.

zelensky reveals cause of counteroffensive failure

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky attributed the delay and lackluster results of his military’s much-hyped counteroffensive to insufficient weapons and training from Kiev’s Western allies in an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria on Sunday.

“We did have plans to start [the counteroffensive] in spring. But we didn’t, because, frankly, we had not enough munitions and armaments and not enough brigades properly trained in these weapons,” Zelensky explained, adding that holding the training outside Ukraine further contributed to the delays.

It was this delay, he said, that allowed Russia to “mine all our lands and build several lines of defense,” forcing upon the Ukrainian military “a slower pace of our counteroffensive actions.”

Declassified CIA Files Form Bizarre Link Between JFK Assassination and UFOs

“You don’t have to be a conspiracy theorist to think it’s suspicious.”

Newly declassified U.S. government files from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) are leading some to form a bizarre link between the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and flying saucers. The extraordinary connection comes after President Joe Biden recently cleared formerly top-secret documents to “provide a fuller understanding” of JFK’s murder.

The assassination has been pored over for decades, but one document has revealed the previously redacted name of a CIA official, Reuben Efron, who intercepted Lee Harvey Oswald’s mail in the months before the tragic shooting on Nov. 22, 1963.

He then added that the U.S. would "lead — work with our allies and partners on a common international framework to govern the development of AI."

While Biden explained a lot in his speech, the public focused on his silly statement claiming he was AI.

"The man is a nut case," one Twitter user wrote in response to a clip, while a second person said, "Biden's artificial alright, but he's certainly not intelligent."

It was a photo op for the ages: a visibly well-disposed President Xi Jinping receiving centenarian “old friend of China” Henry Kissinger in Beijing.

Mirroring meticulous Chinese attention to protocol, they met at Villa 5 of the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse – exactly where Kissinger first met in person with Zhou Enlai in 1971, preparing Nixon’s 1972 visit to China.

lost in american hegemonic aggression.....

Ukraine and Georgia’s NATO aspirations not only touch a raw nerve in Russia, they engender serious concerns about the consequences for stability in the region. Not only does Russia perceive encirclement, and efforts to undermine Russia’s influence in the region, but it also fears unpredictable and uncontrolled consequences which would seriously affect Russian security interests. Experts tell us that Russia is particularly worried that the strong divisions in Ukraine over NATO membership, with much of the ethnic-Russian community against membership, could lead to a major split, involving violence or at worst, civil war. In that eventuality, Russia would have to decide whether to intervene; a decision Russia does not want to have to face.
