As of May 20, the website for the Project for the New American Century (PNAC), the American neoconservative think tank based in Washington, D.C., is no longer operating. 

PNAC was co-founded as "a non-profit educational organization" by William Kristol and Robert Kagan in early 1997, with the stated goal "to promote American global leadership."

PNAC’s view was that "American leadership is both good for America & good for the world" & it supported the "Reaganite policy of military strength & moral clarity."  PNAC has exerted strong influence on high-level US government officials in the administration of U.S President George W. Bush & strongly affected the George Bush administration's development of military & foreign policies, especially involving national security & the Iraq War. 

Perhaps PNAC is no longer considered necessary by the “neo-cons”, given that Bush has now unilaterally given himself the powers of a dictator?
