Theres a Liberal one, and a Labor one

and maybe one for Nick Xenophon

and they're all made out of ticky-tacky and they all look the same

In the Hills round Mount Barker they're building eighteen hundred homes

Little boxes, little boxes  all the same

Ripping up pastures just to win more election votes

and they're all made out of tickytacky and they all look the same

In the suburbs of Adelaide they're concreting  parklands

making space for little boxes, little boxes all the same

With no care for the locals, and no politician understands

and they're all made out of tickytacky and they all look just the same.

But soon it will be election day, and we'll fill out our ballot forms

little boxes, little boxes all the same

There's a Liberal one, and a Labor one

a Green one and a Xenophon

And they're all made out of tickytacky, 'cos they say they're not to blame.

Little boxes on the hillside, doghouses for humanity

Little boxes, little boxes all the same.

And when the land's gone, it's gone for eternity

so cast your vote wisely, or it's you that's to blame.
